@nprofile…wsge @nprofile…eg75 One of the speakers mentioned that all the resources should be channelled to fight the climate change (evena pausing the usual development). This makes me wonder what kind of resources are *already* dedicated to fight climate issues. I know that in EU there is a lot of focus on recycling, sustainability, and green energy. China is going green energy big time. Any other? What makes the biggest impact in practice? (IMHO, 100% dedication is naive; it won't happen).

@nprofile…r0xq @nprofile…sve2 @nprofile…u5g7 Right. It is mostly that I do not like the blind critisism that makes blind assumption about LLMs. The situation is more nuanced.

@nprofile…sve2 @nprofile…r0xq @nprofile…u5g7 Please consider that not all LLMs are made by big tech. There are LLMs that are open source and LLMs that can run locally.

@nprofile…r0xq @nprofile…u5g7 Yes, except the README part of the changes (unless they are trivial).

@nprofile…r0xq Note that people reading it and who never tried org-capture may simply be reluctant to try after reading your and similar posts. So, I really do not find such complaints helpful for others. Although I do understand the urge in similar situations.

@nprofile…r0xq The current guidance to GNU projects (including Emacs) is not to accept LLM contributions until GNU issues a public policy guideline. This is to avoid potential copyright implications. The only possible exception is small trivial patches.

@nprofile…r0xq as it usually goes, "not working" is never a useful report.

@nprofile…45cc @nprofile…wsge @nprofile…2vzh @nprofile…6w3n This is exactly what Org mode does to handle fontification and indentation. See org-src-do-key-sequence-at-code-block

@nprofile…y4jh @nprofile…wsge I recommend adding them to https://orgmode.org/tools.html That's more visible. But not proprietary, please.

@nprofile…wsge I was thinking something that's not just for Emacs users (I presume that many listeners don't use Emacs):
- Org mode outside Emacs
- https://orgmode.org/tools.html

- Org mode and collaborative editing
- Org syntax

I am feeling a tid bit overwhelmed with patches for the last couple of month, and wanted to see if I am imagining things on hard numbers.
The patches actually look normal-ish. But the number of bug reports is indeed larger. So, I am not loosing my mind and there is really more staff to do.
