I hate that we made forking necessary to work collaboratively on Git

I think they just wanted you to restrict access to it for Russian users, which would've avoided the entire website getting blocked (because they can't block individual pages with HTTPS). You probably want to notify Russian users of your instance so they can migrate, because working around these blocks in Russia becomes increasingly difficult, where even VPN protocols like Outline are detected and blocked... (btw suggesting VPNs to work around bans is also illegal in Russia....)

yeah, Xiaomi devices is one example of this. Literally every single system app is filled with ads. Want to change an alarm sound? Watch an ad. Want to browse your files? First agree to sell your soul, and then we'll also show you ads. It's insanity. The first introduction for you is when they hide your lockscreen image to display some clickbait-y article instead.

the problem with having these things, even optional, is that other people will use it :sad_cat:

While #Telegram hosts lots of hateful content like right wing groups, I just do not believe this is why #Durov was arrested. If that was the case, they'd arrest musk and other such scum long ago, I frankly think they don't care about this content. It's something else.
