I'm surprised you often don't read behind the lines well given how insightful you are.

I use sandboxed Google Play Services on the Work profile for notifications on my VoIP app and some apps that require GPS. It runs fairly normal if you do that.

Will this also be implemented on the PDP-11 hardware that Ken Thompson used to invent UNIX?

When society had clear roles for men and women, men were taught by their fathers their role, which included defending women. That was a long time ago. In college, some of my women friends took women's studies classes that released an understandable amount of anger in them. Bad men weren't blamed, but men in general. That discourse is no longer limited to liberal colleges, and now boys are taught that they have toxic masculinity. So it's not nearly so automatic that they have a connection with their protector role. Becoming the kind of strong yet healthy man you're talking about required a huge amount of red pill videos and self reflection. Interesting comment as always @nprofile…097k

Religion is partly about spirituality. And early on people realized that it could be used to justify why certain groups are more important. Chosen people, etc. And while women as a group naturally need more protection, rules got made like "a woman's place is in the home."
I once heard that tolerance of ambiguity can explain a good amount of the liberal vs conservative split (20th century). It turns out there is a good number of people that need to force everything into the binary right and wrong buckets. And I think religion gives some of these people the "certainty" they are looking for when they navigate an intrinsically complicated world.

@nprofile…qjfn Thank you for your work! The best way I've found to explain privacy is that it's about control of what people know about you and not whether you're doing something wrong. Someone has sex with a new person and the next morning they tell their best friend but not their boss. That's privacy. I think many younger people don't know that. Do we really want palantir to know everything and weaponize it against us, to sell this information? When we lose privacy we lose control.
