it’s so strange that they are renaming the one thing most people actually want from Microsoft. Terrible decision to get rid of the branding.

I like to schedule 60 minute meetings but I try to finish them in about 45 minutes, so the team can get 15 minutes paid rest.

Maybe like a super small amount of pickles or something like it. I think potato salad needs some kind of acidity, but pickles are kind of gross.

This is really what I genuinly wanted. I just wanted to use Linux more. Now, I do not see myself spending $2000 on a mac that I know I would still be a bit unhappy with.
In fact, I am so content with this setup, that I am not even considering a mac for my next notebook purchase and instead, I am thinking about which notebook I should get. I'm not in a rush to buy something new. But I would like something a bit nicer.

Because of this, I have been wanting to get a Mac since I can replace Windows and do my work on Mac.
But they are kind of pricey to get more than 2 ports and I do not really need a "pro" computer, but I do need port.
So, I put Windows on my desktop computer to use for the majority of my work since I am at a desk with monitor anyway. And, I put Fedora on my laptop.

I have one work task that takes up 90% of my work time. This task forces me to be on windows and in front a monitor.
I use my laptop for work stuff, when away from my desktop but, I also use the laptop for personal stuff.
I had Windows on my laptop and was using this computer in clam-shell mode for most of my work and then I would suffer through windows for personal use.

that’s a cool idea, what if the errors that occur are due to other people trying to error correct and it’s an arms race to who can perfect error correction first.

Someone else is going to have to fill that void. I believe the fediverse can handle social media, but who is making the hardware?

If that is the case, I’d guess that it’s still ruled by a single person.

I forget the guys name who lead it, but I did not like him at all. He had some problem with Calyx OS or its users, I am not really sure.
I was in both the Graphene and Calyx Matrix instances and he went through the list of people in the Calyx instance that were also in the Graphene instances and then demanded that we leave the offical Calyx chat or be banned from Graphene.
Total jerk move. Turned me off from Graphene entirely.

I could see that. When I got my marriage license, I had to do an online marriage class hosted by the government of San Juan City. The lady hosting, was working from home, and her husband was walking around behind her with no shirt and when he saw me, he shouted, "Hey Joe!".
I think that situations like this could also be the reason 😂

I’m lucky to be work from home full time, but my wife is still in the office 3 days a week. So they keeps us here in Manila. If that were not the case, we would also be out of here.

I drove my wife to work early one morning and the sun was still rising. The entire way, all I could see was the jeeps blowing thick smoke from the exhaust. The sun’s angle made it really noticeable.

I’m kinda of the same way as you. I still advocate for it. But putting it into practice was such a difficult thing and no one else cared about it so I was basically stuck using less private platforms.

Ubuntu looks great. I have to admit it. I booted into it the other day to test something and I was i@pressed with the visual polish. With that being said, plasma all the way.

When I start to play a game, I do not want 5 minutes of unskipable cut scenes, 5 minutes of text, and 10 minutes of tutorials before I can start playing.

I decided to drop final fantasy 6 around the halfway point. It seemed pretty generic. I’d love to hear from a fan why this game is so loved.
Started Chrono Trigger and that game is much better. I’m really enjoying this one. I’m not too far into it, but I like the characters and the story so far. The combat menu is kind of annoying how it overlays the battle, but it’s not too bad.

Out of curiosity, I checked a walkthrough to see how close I am to completing final fantasy 6.
I’m almost half way, I think I’m done with this game. I might watch a speedrun of it, but this game is overhyped in my opinion. Am I missing something?

Final Fantasy 6 has not been living up to its hype so far. I think Final Fantasy 4 was much better.
I'm only at the opera scene part of the game, so maybe things will pick up at some point.
I'm going to stick with it at least for now, sometimes the end game ramps up the difficulty too much.

Don't stress about the distro you use. They all basically do the same thing, just pick a popular one.
It is significantly easier to get help fixing problem you might come across in Linux due to the passionate community.
Most software works or has alternatives in Linux. There are very few things you still need Windows for.

I chalk these thinks up to incompetence. Sometimes you don’t even need to use a vpn. You can just change to a different dns server. But Skycable is a bit annoying at times.

Last week, I played a bit of the doom re-re-re-release. It’s a really good game that has help up well in its own way. It’s hard to choose which is better between doom 1 and doom 2, but I think doom 2 has a few really confusing maps that I absolutely loaded getting lost in. This is why I put doom 2 ahead of it.
I don’t recommend buying the new release, you’re better off playing it on gzdoom. But if you got the update for free, then why not.
