@nprofile…xsv9 😱 😱 😱 This is so unfathomable to me
In 97 I lived in Sardegna, Italy, right on the Mediterranean Sea. Some friends from Cali were visiting & went down to the shore to gather some sea urchins for dinner. As I placed my knife against a sea urchin, & watched the spines 'tingle' back & forth, I dropped the knife & said "that's it. If I cannot kill this, then I will never again ask someone to kill something for me."

i can't even find the last post from you recommending that i simply use less windows BC YOUR BROWSER DOESN'T WORK!
why is it that i don't have this problem on firefox? i don't want to use firefox, but #Brave is apparently fascist, and #Vivaldi is essentially useless
FIX YOUR BROWSER!

@nprofile…60xv i'm not using a VPN
🤔 So if this is a Mastodon thing, Would that mean everyone on my instance is experiencing these rate limiters when they happen? Because they now happen to me all the time. (They are popping up right now as i am I'm typing this) And only on certain browsers
so why do I only experience this on Brave and now Vivaldi? I revert to Firefox when it happens because it doesn't appear to happen with that browser. How is that possible?

@nprofile…60xv
good tip. now what do i do about this?
a couple weeks ago i publicly switched from Brave to Vivaldi bc i learned Brave's ceo/co-founder is maga, & this👇constant "Rate limited" nonsense
this has become constant now on Vivaldi. when i try to post, i get this. if i refresh, i lose the post. i am back on Firefox to write this
any tips for this?

@nprofile…xsv9 I agree absolutely 💯 right up until the last word - "legally". he believes he's found a loophole & that's he's immune regardless thanks to scotus
we cannot accept that narrative. it is not only bribery, but brazen bribery, and bribery is still illegal
we just need honest, competent judges on the bench who will call a bribe a bribe
and then Clarence Thomas can join him in prison for all the bribes he's taken but pretends aren't bribes

@nprofile…l85x me, too. except in California, the law remained that gas station air & water pumps be free (i left in '20) but a couple yrs ago i was there & saw they charged
i inquired. their workaround (& i promise some consultant came up w/ this) was to rent the piece of land where the pump is to another company. & since that company is not a gas station, they can charge for air & water. & the station doesn't "have" an air & water pump to provide, but gets the rent

so Biden trying to pay down student loan debt was "unconstitutional",
but Dotard Tumor can funnel taxpayer money to his violent, fascist stormtroopers for the "harm" of being justly jailed for committing serious crimes?

of course it's not true, for 1 very simple reason👇
it doesn't matter if it comes from a maga moron rando or a Supreme Court Justice,
NEVER trust anything Cancervative Repugs say. they do not care about truth. they seek money, power & to force their christo-fascist beliefs on the rest of us

but "the Rapture" is religious nonsense that will obvs never happen. it's used by sociopaths to control idiots. it's also a very sizable chunk of our population🤬

@nprofile…54w9 this is the simple fact of the matter
i was listening to yet another pundit conversation🙄 about how Biden should have done this, or Kamala that, or blaming Dems, or the media. & there's plenty to be angry at them for
but this is a very simple equation. if the US didn't have so much human cancer here, we would not have a 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝗥𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻, 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗱 & 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿 as our president
it is literally that simple. this could all go away if America was human cancer free

@nprofile…g93s That was really excellent!💙 Tom Stoppard is such a genius with words. Thanks for the recommendation.

Tom Stoppard was indeed a brilliant playwright. 'Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead' was my introduction to Existentialism in high school.
When my father visited me for the Army Navy game one year, we went to see his play 'Artist Ascending A Staircase' in NYC afterwards. (my father was also an existentialist whose favorite philosopher was Kierkegaard)

it's my contribution to making the internet a better place
