A bit off topic, but I really love that column/shelf. I had the idea to do something like it, for a pantry, a few years ago. It didn’t have backing and you could access it from inside and out.

I just recently found out about the steamboat Arabia that sank in 1856 and was found in 1988 in Kansas City. Buried 1/2 mile from where the river is now, it and it’s cargo were remarkably wellpreserved.

I’m not sure what I was expecting. I was giving the pups some leftover bacon and one tried to snap at a piece. Unfortunately it shot directly into their deep water bowl and the bacon immediately sank to the bottom. What followed resembled what I would imagine an interrogation of Falkor would look like as he was forcibly dunked underwater. After a violent stream of gluttonous bubbles, the other dog emerged triumphant. Did I imagine the muffled yell?

"While cleaning a storage room, our staff found this tape containing #UNIX v4 from Bell Labs, circa 1973.
Apparently no other complete copies are known to exist.
We have arranged to deliver it to the Computer History Museum."

Do you know Pablo Picasso could have met both Charles Darwin and Eminem?

We had a large surprise party last night to honor my in-laws for their decades of selfless service in the church. The house was packed with the faces of old friends, and so many children, singing hymns and having great fellowship. It was a small glimpse of heaven.
