In 6 years, if installers can maintain annual growth rate of 43% we get to a total of 1 million installs. By 9 years we've got 1 million installs a year. In a year of let's say 250 working days that's about 4200 every day.
By year 14 the objective would be met and a massive retraining programme required.

I really don't want to be the person who asks how long it will take to get Britain's housing stock decarbonised at that rate.
ONS: Across England and Wales, 77.9% (19.3 million) of households lived in a house or bungalow, 21.7% (5.4 million) lived in a flat, maisonette or apartment and 0.4% (104,000) lived in a caravan, or other mobile or temporary structure.

Labour's minister for Science, Innovation and Technology is continuing to use the trope of an AI-powered solution to cancer detection to push for more AI in public services while ignoring calls by leading cancer specialists to "concentrate on the basics of cancer treatment rather than the 'magic bullets' of novel technologies and artificial intelligence". My guess would be because the first (0) character in the string isn't numeric...

Not an economist so this is possibly a very naive question: does this mean that farmers are under-rewarded, farms and machinery are overpriced, that CEOs are over-rewarded, some combination of these three, or other factors that I'm unaware of?

You may or not be surprised to learn Amerikans don't use Imperial units (think of their pint and gallon for example).
They declared war and gained independence before British Imperial measurements were standardised so have had to define all their strange deprecated units in terms of proper metric units.

To achieve this change requires overcoming treasury brain - where the only consideration is balancing the current account. Investment to reduce future expenditure is therefore all but impossible.

As Roy Lilley says: ... most important of all, where's the plan to fix social care?
I fear, for the foreseeable, Darzi will be HMG's human shield. The go-to excuse... 'we are working on a plan...'
The NHS is broken? That’s why Labour was elected… to fix it.
They said they could. They said they were sleeves rolled-up ready…
… they’d better get started.

If you're thinking of lacanemab perhaps the patient group missed the part where NIHCE mentioned a treatment cycle that costs considerably more than the drug itself.
An under resourced health sector cannot afford to further diminish the service it provides because a new marginally efficacious treatment comes along.

Only caught part of that report in the broadcast... but I wonder how big the connection is at #Dounreay given that generation ended 30 years ago and both reactors were experimental & fairly small scale.
There's a general lack of capacity in the #grid to get power from #Scotland to England.
