It used to say here I'm new to this fediverse thing, but I can't say that anymore now really.

Expect content/boosts on FOSS and digital rights, various types of DIY/repair/modding/hacking, photography, radio amateurism, retrogaming, gardening (chilis), and whatever else I might find interesting.

@nprofile…vegs Thanks for sharing your post this way; the gallery looks great and is a good way to entice me to click the link! The short write-up was well worth reading. And it's cool to see these were all made on a D200, gives me hope with my D5000 :).

@nprofile…v6fw Yeah the accessibility to get onto the network is a fair concern! But from what I read, it will still be published to PyPI and thus will remain easily installable with `pip`. Also, I bet there will be several people mirroring it on public (IP-based) Git repositories, once the official GitHub closes. So I'm not too concerned about this particular aspect, personally.

Thanks for sharing the thread. I found it rather insightful and can actually respect the choices made / approach chosen.
Collaboration is still possible, maybe not via the most obvious/popular means, but for reasons that are explained, and it is still completely possible. The code's out there and people can use it or work on it if they like.
Rather than this approach deterring me, I think I can appreciate the (unorthodox) way of addressing the issues that were/are burdening the core developers. I'm rather happy to see active development still going on, and hopefully in a way that's more sustainable for them. If this is what keeps the project alive and of good quality, then so be it, let's try it this way.

@nprofile…8cjr You're probably better off replacing the broken LED with another random diode if you have no LED to fit there, rather than just bridging the pads.
There's normally a voltage drop over the LED that you are now missing, meaning all the other ones are seeing a higher voltage than usual, and drawing more power, decreasing their longevity.
