okay, then what's so wrong and misleading about mureena? They use nextcloud, microG, combination of lineage OS and k9 mail, opentasks etc as the basis of their tech.
Is it 100% private? No. Is GrapheneOs more secure? Yes. Is GrapheneOS as widely available for users who want degoogle as /e/OS? No.
When phone makers, governments and some agencies are cracking on the custom ROMs, don't go starting meaningless infighting

in the post 1945 or cold war period, western powers have done a lot worse stuff than "we build a port, but keep it for 100 years".
1953 Iran, 1973 Chile, 1961 Dominican and Kongo, 1963 Iraq, 1960 Laos and I don't even talk about what was done to Vietnam and North Korea.

yeah, i know that chinese dynasties of the distant past were Empires that oppressed people of Korea, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia etc, but calling what China today does to Africa and other partners of the Belt and Road initiative, "not much worse than what western powers did" is just wrong.
Kongo still remembers the king Leopold the 2nd, recent military coups in the middle East, like one in 1952 Iraq and Middle Asia felt how UK and France supported Russian monarchists in 1920s.

US exports services and imports your land's raw material, while China at least tries to better than whatever US and EU do just to get more partnerships.
I don't remember whose quote was that Chinese treat Africans seriously, like partners, unlike Europeans who come with humanitarian aid and try to do what Africans can do themselves if nobody got in their way

that's quite a bold statement to make from a person who would most likely supported the Austrian Painter in the solution of a jewishn question. American politicians are crazy

- They have Weapons of Mass Destruction
- Why don't you attack North Korea?
- They really have Weapons of Mass Destruction, like for real

40 years old soviet books taught that my worth comes from the good deeds and good intention I put in everything I do
Nowadays reality tells me my worth comes from how much my employer is willing to pay me. Fuck it

yeah, economic abuse seems better than the full out invasion with bombing the future and freezing civilians.

before war there was Burisma and their licenses on Dnipro Donetsk oil basin. If you think that oligarchy in Ukraine is different from any other oligarchy, I don't understand why you would think so.
Rich ones sell their countries resources for a short term gain, then move out of the country they put in poverty and crisis.

what do you mean no need to worry about drivers, firmware etc? What about installing nvidia drivers on windows 11 from their site(which sucks), installing vlc or paying for h264 codec in msft store and suffering over firmware updates on laptops because windows doesn't have fwupd analog that could have taken care of it? Windows out of the box need the whole lot of work that even fedora doesnt need

try some hardware monitoring app, like resources to check video decoder activity. Only firefox based browsers use vaapi and hardware decoder for vp8, vp9, av1 videos on youtube and wherever else. It's kinda sad(

im just curious before moving to vivaldi, brave or ungoogled chromium, how do i use hardware acceleration on linux, so my laptop can live longer than 3 hours while using it? I couldn't make it work no matter how hard I tried with all the things in flatseal, warehouse, vaapi etc.

most of PCs sold and so used in world for last, idk, 15 years are laptops and much more PCs in the world are prebuilt PCs or laptops for corporate sector. Both laptops and prebuilt corporate PCs are mostly coming with windows preinstalled and of course windows price is included in the price of these PCs. People pay for windows and in 2022 they made 14 billion USD purely from windows.

Malcom X once said that moderates are worse than conservative because "They are like wolves; they show their teeth in a snarl that keeps the Negro always aware of where he stands with them. But the white liberals are foxes, who also show their teeth to the Negro but pretend that they are smiling"
