I love how so much of Metal Gear solid V's plot only works if you can pretend REALLY hard that reading and writing isn't a thing.

@nprofile…wq0y At this point they also allow sending back to US - and I think that's fulfilled via Analogue.
Not gonna lie, I know China products can be sus and 8BitDo started as a blatant ripoff (colors, fonts), but in their defense: how else would you do it if you are a small company that only operates in one country? In that case you HAVE to rely on resellers to fulfill warranty. I know Logitech did. When my last mouse died within warranty they asked me to send it to Amazon also.

Heard back from Amazon and they'll replace my Pro 3 pad within warranty. So I don't have to send it back to China myself.
That's good.
Unfortunately they can't just replace it - it seems the product page changed (the one I ordered is "no longer available"). So I'll get a refund once I sent it back and THEN can order a new one. Which is all gonna take longer but on the plus side, I'll use that as an opportunity to pick a different color. :)

New month, new look at the electricity meter. I'm super happy. All my efforts over the past year have been successful. So much so that I can now run my shitty AC a few hours on hit days and we'll STILL save on the electricity bill!

#gamedev question:
Do you know when you work on a new feature but you see like 7 ways to implement it but none of them seems "right" and they all have exclusive pros and cons attached to them and you hesitate cause all of them are a lot of work so you don't wanna commit?
How do you deal with that or is it just me and I'm just uniquely bad at designing anything?

A while back I learned about "aphantasia" and I wonder if that's a real thing. Not that I doubt some folks cannot visualize things. Heck, I can only imagine things in very blurry terms. So what do I got? aphantasia-light? Standard Definition Phantasia? I think my point is that maybe the way how humans think isn't standardized. Same as the "inner voice" thing.

Now that I got my Analogue3D, I'm tempted to get more N64 games again. But I was scared at how expensive it might be now.
Surprisingly, if you're content with no box or manual, sole cartridges can be had for 10-25EUR if the game's not too uncommon. For a 30 year old console, not too bad.

@nprofile…q8t3 yeah hence I thought of maybe using the DeskMini cause it's a tiny fraction of my PC power load. But damn me being such a dual screen junkie. Is like 30W per (IPS) screen. And they already run at half brightness.

I always knew the approximate power consumption of my PC setup (PC itself, displays, speakers, other hardware), but today I measured the actual consumption and how much it costs over a year (considering the PC runs 12-16 hours a day with suspend to RAM not working) and it made me re-evaluate a lot.
Gonna put Suspend to Disk back on the menu, kicking in after half an hour, but I disable screens after 5 minutes already since they need half the idle power of the entire setup.
