I had this issue (or a similar one). My account was closed randomly (can't remember the reason given), and when I contacted support they said my account was flagged by an automated system but it was a false positive. They apologised and re-instated it.
Sorry I can't recall more details about the incident or who/how I contacted them...

#Xreader on #LinuxMint sometimes opens a #PDF file in full-screen mode, and I've no idea why... I've tried changing settings, but nothing ultimately prevents this happening. Is it a bug?

I'm confused by the whole #Google Developer Verification thing...
Users won't be able to install #Android apps without their developers registering with Google?
How will this affect users of Android forks (like #LineageOS, #GrapheneOS, etc.)? I'm assuming it won't, since Google can't put anything in the #AOSP that others can't just remove in their own builds.
So presumably it only affects users of Google-ified Android?

Adam mentioned the main two already, but there's a bunch of others here too:

Well this is refreshing to hear. Guess my next computer will be a Dell, as they seem to be listening to what customers actually want, or rather *don't* want.

I'm seeing a lot of #Firefox users jumping ship to one of its forks: #Waterfox, #ZenBrowser, #Librewolf, etc.
And I wonder - does #Mozilla care? As in, are they worried? Or do they consider users of those forks still 'Firefox' users...?

I've experienced something similar, but in my case it's any app and I suspect it's the Bluetooth speaker activating when it detects audio being played.

Or just disable it in DDG's settings...

This sounds like a really good way of managing issues and donations. I wish more open-source projects would adopt a system like this.

Indeed. I found this GH issue about it: https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/32337

Why are auto-playing GIFs recommended in #Mastodon? No other setting has a 'Recommended' label; why is this one so special?

Sounds like #WordPress devs just need to fork it and start a new project/community sans-Mullenweg. It is #FOSS after all.

I must be one of the only people in the world who just switched *from* #Librewolf *to* #Firefox due (in part) to the recent news...
A certain video was made about recent issues, and through that I became aware of this post by the Librewolf maintainer: https://codeberg.org/librewolf/issues/issues/1978#issuecomment-2156134
"LibreWolf should definitely be considered a "very woke", and certainly quite political project..."
I don't need my software to be woke or political. So, bye Librewolf, it's been fun.

The #Codeberg article starts off talking about "far-right forces", but ends with "the fight against right-wing forces".
So are you fighting against just the far/extreme-right, or anyone on the right side of the political spectrum?
Not all right-wing supporters are evil and need to be "fought". Not all of them post horrible things online or spam/troll people. Some just have different views to those on the left, so I hope they're not on the receiving end of your "fight".

Agreed. Too many article, services, etc. are US-only.

I use the camera app from @npub1kwa…e0nj despite not using Graphene as my OS.
https://github.com/GrapheneOS/Camera
I like it for its built-in QR code scanner and ability to remove EXIF data after capture.

I hate it when there's an image on a webpage, and you click on it and it opens in a popup, but it ends up being smaller than the original image on the webpage 🤦‍♂️

Have you heard of/tried #DivestOS? https://divestos.org/
According to https://eylenburg.github.io/android_comparison.htm it seems to be the next best option after #GrapheneOS. It's what I use on my #GooglePixel.

I disagree. I've just been looking into free email hosting and came across @npub1gyg…t33j which seems very privacy-conscious. They collect less information than you, and delete said data almost immediately when asked, compared to your 5.5 years of ongoing data storage for deleted accounts...

Basically links/buttons that don't tell you what they're for or where they go - you have to click them to find out.

I also use Librewolf as my main browser. I then have Firefox available to use with less-strict settings (ad-blocking, etc.) for times where I temporarily need a website to work properly.
Interested to know under what circumstances you 'have' to use a Chrome-based browser...?

If you don't need the extra security/privacy, enable the saving of history, cookies, etc., so you're not starting from a blank slate each time you open Librewolf.

#FOSS doesn't (necessarily) mean "free as in beer" - paid apps can be FOSS too.
