Apparently FreeBSD decided to gut the last remaining GPL-licensed part of it...add that with the fact that it's the only BSD to ever get the non-free NVIDIA drivers and you've got yourself a good reason to stay away from BSDcucks.
Hah. Guess I'll never touch that damn thing with a ten foot pole ever again. I'd rather go for a dual POWER9 system with Trisquel ppc64el and the built-in framebuffer. (all modern PCIe GPUs are non-free, regardless of their age, plus who would do 3D modelling or gaming on such a system anyway?)
Not enough ethernet cables? Not a problem. An AR9xxx-series wireless NIC (especially an AR9280/AR9382-based one) would do the trick.
Now that's a freedom workstation! It should be fully RYF-certified, plus even freedom zealots (in a good way) like @nprofile…s24j would be impressed by such a system.
