there's a particular streak in leftist organising in particular where people seem to think that their cause is so worthy, their idea so good and self evident, them so clearly the right person to deliver it, that everyone around them should drop everything to immediately help them
i am begging people to stop this and get serious about either paying people, offering other in-kind support, or just joining and being part of communities you admire for a bit first before demanding other peoples free labour

it is wild to me how strangers will email asking for free labour from a disabled trans woman without even suggesting what could be in it for me lol
like can you at least join our email list or discord first or maybe start a monthly sub?
everyone wants the benefits of community rn but so few people want to contribute

do you have any more information about what commitment is required, what it means to be a member, and the terms of reference of the group?

How long have you had your current fediverse handle? (boosts for reach welcome)

@npub1764…nuj0 have you done a poll on how long people have had their current fedi handle? (im curious how durable it is as a form of ID)
