@nprofile…g80s They don't have an office in India afaik, they did have a main office in Saint Petersburg, Russia, though, and they were badly impacted by the war. Their stuff is definitely getting worse over the years and alternatives are catching up. I remember when I got my hands on one of their specialized IDE's that it was so ahead of the curve that it turned a miserable month-long task into one that lasted just a couple of days, and today when I plug in a folder it doesn't even jump to the definition of a class/function/whatever now, let alone anything more complex -.-

@nprofile…v49s You're located on a instance that's mildly spicy for pleroma crimes so it kinda self-selects to federate with ones that are more open to freedom of speech, and unfortunately the loudest ones about it tend to be racist. It definitely is harder until you cut down the noise, those mostly being openly racist instances, then you'll see more of other types of people. I would genuinely recommend filtering out stuff like poa.st and wiggartha adjacent stuff until you find people you like.

I used to talk to horse enjoyers a lot, that kinda stopped once umamusume became a thing. Now instead of a rancher or a horse gal it's almost always a weeb and I want to throttle you.

@nprofile…kq75 Hugo and any other static site generator had promise but the entire jamstack community and tooling infrastructure kinda died down a couple of years ago with nothing to prop it up and it's sad to see. It's also not technically dead but that's just a cope.
Ideally you pair it up with some cms (idk which ones are being used for hugo) so you can have a dashboard where you can enjoy modern conveniences introduced roughly 20 years ago he he.
Anyway, thanks for posting and have a happy new year.

So basically, fandom is aesthetics without the baggage, while cringe culture is a deep dive into something?

So far the only people I've met who said that they're feeling the 'impostor syndrome' were either NEETs or actual imposters. Its sus, how things work out that way.

How freaky does someone need to be to come up with the idea that you can melt horses then use the goop to stick things together.

@nprofile…4gs7 I see, I might as well share my take on it. I think that dress-up and by some extent, flexing, is fundamentally social in nature so it's basically mandatory in one way or another to have a shared multiplayer world. If you've ever played Mabinogi, it's basically something like that but modernized.

@nprofile…4gs7 For some reasons I played quite a few games where dress-up/fashion/whatever aspect was quite important and tldr, the landscape is dire as heck. If there was a game where you could change individual articles of clothing, dye stuff and whatever on a nice customizable character base, and have some social and mechanical aspects to tie all the players together it would be a industry juggernaut.

Plain doughnuts are the best doughnuts. No sugar, no icing, no filling. Just fried dough, sometimes eaten together with lemon slices just to make the taste more diverse.

I'm very happy to see that you and a whole bunch of cawfee frens are still active. I'm not saying you're the reason I remember fediverse, but if you vanished I would quickly forget this platform like a dream.
