Good morning to all real niggas

Fine arts fans when the art is just alright

2026-10-30 00:31:23 UTC

Other day I rewatched fievel goes west for the 1st time in about 20 years
Great and seemingly forgotten children's movie

2026-10-29 22:02:46 UTC

for the 1st time in my life, I ran a mile with no walking breaks. A positively tortoine 14:38 pace!!!

2026-10-29 00:08:26 UTC

It's just about the 1 year anniversary of me losing my mind. Here's a tierlist of what ive learned about recovering from trauma.
SSRIs: C
Everyone has a different experience, at best it can put a bandaid on acute symptoms. For me it seems to have little to no effect.
Sleep meds: A
getting good sleep can be really hard when your fucked, so anything that can help is great
The passage of time: S+
No matter how shit you feel, give it enough time and your will start to normalize
Talk therapy: A
You likely won't have any grand revelations through therapy, but it is useful to give you a safe and guided place to externalize and examine your problems. Therapy won't solve shit, it's up to you to put in the hard work outside of the couch. That can be both reassuring and depressing.
Talking about it with just about anyone: S
This is mandatory. I spent my whole life keeping everything to myself, and it finally spilled over from the pressure cooker. Yes it's embarrassing to talk about your problems with anyone, but you feel better afterwards.
Overwriting your trauma with good experiences: S
Another mandatory. You need to force yourself to do shit, outside, with other people as much as possible. Put as much good shit between you and hell as possible.
Crying in your mother's arms: S+
There is no better medicine for acute symptoms
Reading testimonials from people who have had similar problems AND RECOVERED: B
This is useful in the beginning and any time you feel like your spiraling.
Exposure therapy: B
Mandatory, but there's no need to rush things. Be patient and only push yourself when you feel strong enough.
Fleeing from your thoughts: F
This is one of the hardest things to do, but it is mandatory to face things with dispassionate silence. Eventually you will stop obsessing over every little thing. But it can take a LONG time.
Thoughts on panic attacks:
The sad truth of panic attacks is that trying to cure or avoid them is pointless and counterintuitive. There are no secret breathing exercises or going to your happy place. You simply have to cope, and they will likely just go away on their own eventually. Just remember, you're not gonna die from a panic attack, time is on your side.
I'm sure there's a million things I forgot, but whatevs.

Finished reading Dissolution by CJ Sansom
Would recommend if u like historical fiction. 100% written by a libtard. Did not like the ending, a fairly compelling read regardless.

looked at singles prices at LGS around me and I'm baffled, everything is marked up 40-75% higher than TCGplayer (looking at non bulk cards), I assumed there would be a slight markup, but that just seems insane, why would you ever buy at those prices???

Interesting trend with chess players, if u look at the comments of a chess reel, it's just a bunch of assholes belittling the uploader and pointing out every little inaccuracy they made
If u look at a musicians, artists, or gamers comments it's just all hell yeah brothr
Conclusion: chess players are really annoying and mean and stinky
