How do you securely chat in 2026? easy, you just `wall` each other on sakamoto, the most secure privacy-oriented and e2e encrypted chat platform available
```
ellyqw │ no doxxing ourselves on alpine irc though
@panekj │ we should use a secure communication
@panekj │ wall me on sakamoto
ellyqw │ good idea
> Native context (or DRM context) is a mediated method of Linux graphics virtualization which operates on a level of Linux kernel driver UAPI, making a host GPU appear in a guest like a native one. It's implemented using existing virtio-gpu infrastructure (guest virtio-gpu driver, virtio-gpu guest/host protocol, host Qemu/Crosvm VMMs and virglrenderer).
I was wrong on the Windows part as it uses SR-IOV to partition GPU between VMs, but I don't see how I am wrong on the Lunix GPU passthrough part
GPU passthrough without actual passthrough (SR-IOV), iirc this has been a feature in Windows called GPU partitioning
I wish there was a place where I could pay for resource usage and not resource reservation (well, technically there is AWS Fargate but that would require paying for like every tiny thing running there which is ew)
Flyio is so close but also charges for reservation, and not usage. If I were to launch 3 machines I would already pay more than hetzner/netcup
am i seeing this right?
hetzner: 2vcpu 4gb 40gb 20TB/m (iirc 1gbps?) for 4.70 ojro /m
netcup: 6vcpu 8gb 256gb 2TB/m 2.5Gbps then 200Mbps for 6.47 /m
should i just move to netcup
This could be a post on your forum, or just screenshot(s) or like single link to something that gives you a bit of credibility. You don't need to whistleblow Snowden-style and drop 100 google doc pages of proof, I just want to see at least a piece of that what has been promised n-th times across various social media posts.
hi, I'm currently in quite terrible situation financially and need to pay for rent instantly (I'm long overdue). I pay about 725usd/670euro per month but really any amount would help, I just need to survive slightly longer until I get information about the job I'm applying for but didn't have definitive answer yet (applying through a friend so I'm hopeful). I just need to cover one month, or just send something to landlord while I wait for the job response. Thank you.
If possible, I would like to have a way to payback everything once I get the job, so please keep in touch or drop me info on where I could send it.
The part about wiki is true, (somewhat), but it's worth noting that Alpine developers never agreed to "glibc" package for Alpine and that Alpine wiki is a collaboration of many people who don't necessarily have to be part of Alpine team. My advice is same as above in that this package should never be used for many reasons like security and performance. It's much better to use Debian or other glibc-based system as it will take less space and effort to maintain that.
