If anyone is shopping for a different mobile phone service as I am, it's worth looking at U.S. Mobile. I have been running a 2nd line for about 2 weeks now for my wife and I, and we are pleased. USM allows you to switch between the 3 big carriers. I am using Verizon, which offers the 2nd line on your watch for free. For my wife, she has At&t on a 2nd line for better data coverage. I like to share things with others that are working well for me. Use my code and get $30 if you switch.
Another nice feature, pay for the whole year up front and you don't have a phone bill. That's what we are doing. Let me know you have questions. Or if anyone else has tried it and had issues...

The Promethean Action take on the Trump admin play in Iran and energy markets is pretty compelling in my view.

Tried to send sats from WOS to Radar chat wallet and didn't go thru. Sending said complete. Never arrived in Radar. Tried a 2nd time days later and same result. That's concerning.

What’s the good part? It does not stop spam as it advertised.

I think there is a potential to conflate features with security.
The Q looked really advanced with all the features that it offered, and so I think it is easy to credit the advanced features with advanced security.
The truth is that Bitcoin custody is difficult, and we all just got a reminder of that shortcuts will cost you.

How poignant is this today?

Made an attempt at creating a nostr version of a Gravatar contact card. Add payment links, npub…
I had Claude put it together in HTML, and I posted it on GitHub.

Thoughts?

I was thinking about how I could attract some people here from my profession as an alternative to Facebook Groups. So I thought perhaps I could create a group to get something started, however I don't see that function. Stacker News has groups like that, do you think that would add value? Could inviting groups that have nothing to do with Bitcoin be a nostr win?

Yes, I don’t advise keeping it in your pocket unless you are wanting to lubricate with smooth tallow.
Hey! Product idea.

I bought the soap package too.

It doesn’t require dependents to claim, you can claim the number you want. I claimed as many as 9 in order to max my fiat miner back in the day.

Technically you can claim max dependents and minimize the extraction. Then you just have to have a strategy to create the write-offs and savings to complete the process at the end of the year. Such as buying miners as capital expense.

I didn’t assume you have none since you’re here on NOSTR. Given a longer time horizon Bitcoin makes everything more affordable. And yes, you can pay your rent in Bitcoin. Strike has a bill pay feature, Aqua has a credit card feature, or you could buy gift cards. There are ways.
I agree with the economic outlook in that things are getting very expensive. Try used car shopping!
That’s great that you are doing what you want to do. I wish I could say the same.

Look at trade schools. Talked to a girl, Welder, she was making 10k a week doing 6-10’s. Lot of overtime. Point is that you make lots of money in trades, and learn skills to fix your own stuff. Self reliance.
Sounds like a Bitcoin life.
