It’s all bullshit all the way down.
Part of the reason for the cooler reading is that the Bureau of Economic Analysis updated its methodology for calculating specific components of the PCE price index, retroactive to 2021.
The BEA has changed how it calculates inflation across three categories: computer software, legal fees, and investment advice. Two of those categories — computer software and investment advice — have experienced sharp price increases over the past year, which some economists say have artificially increased the overall inflation number.
Capital Economics' Brown said the price revisions reduced the annual inflation rates for both the affected components. Together, he estimated they took 0.3% off overall core inflation.

Companies will not want to pay to send their proprietary data to a general purpose giga-brain AI company.
They will want cheap, efficient, secure ways to analyze their data.
If the company synthesizes cancer drugs, they won’t want an AI that can generate a feature length film of a silicone valley bro circle jerk with Sam Altman in the middle.

My concern that the AI buildout
Out is overdone and a bubble.
Large Language Models (LLMs) and Small Language Models (SLMs) differ primarily in their parameter size, computational requirements, and specialization. While LLMs act like massive, all-knowing encyclopedias that require warehouse-sized data centers, SLMs act like highly efficient, specialized pocket guides that can run directly on your smartphone.

It’s becoming clear that the Fed, government and Wall Street is doing everything they can to drive a K shaped economy. So are they ignorant to the fact that all K shaped economies end in pitchforks and guillotines or do they have the hubris to think this time will be different by ushering in a police and surveillance state?

I pray we are in a fourth turning.
It gives me hope there will be a resolution to the crisis and an eventual high.
Because if you extrapolate the current timeline out….

The Gold Standard Act of 1900 fixed the U.S. dollar as consisting of 25.8 grains (about 1.672 grams) of gold that is nine-tenths fine (90% pure gold).
If this definition held today, a dollar would be valued at $249.68.
Then we got the Federal Reserve Bank in 1913.
End the Fed.

Modern alchemy is approaching.
Someone please check on Peter Schiff!
When he says it’s too expensive and non-viable, ask the diamond industry to give him a call.
🚨 Lab-grown gold is chemically identical to mined gold, created through advanced nuclear or chemical processes, offering sustainable, conflict-free, and consistent material for electronics, medicine, and jewelry, though current methods are extremely energy-intensive and expensive, making it more a scientific marvel than a commercial market disruptor, with startups like Marathon Fusion exploring fusion-based creation from mercury for a cleaner supply.
How it's made
Nuclear Fusion: A startup, Marathon Fusion, claims to convert mercury-197 (from fusion) into stable gold-197, offering a potential large-scale source.

My local government informed me that they assessed the value of my house increased by 61%.
My property taxes are increasing 61%.
This is a tax on unrealized gains.
My income has not increased. I have realized any gain in the value of my house.
