Today's broken clock award goes to Ro #Khanna, for being right as he cosponsors a bill with Thomas #Massie to at least try to stop the USA aiding an attack set of a war with Iran.
Israel isn't an actual ally of the USA in treaty or general behavior & we definitely shouldn't as a nation be aiding the attack of #Iran.

I judge it based mostly on the genre, as in, if it's a truly fictional work, then it's a taste thing & then at most if someone directly asks me "did you like ____, by _____?" I'll DM them on it but even then do so in a toned down way... Secondly I judge if it really affects me & my circles or not .... So if it's supposed to be facts & it really isn't, and this affects me in a direct way, I'll share that & be rather loud about it.

oh I've given a few similar impromptu "talks" lol ... So much of what I've been involved in through the years having been so messily organized....
Pretty typical day & week so far for me, which is to say nothing in sensation in my hands, wrists, feet nor most of my lower legs during said week, which is why I'm looking forward to warmer weather, knowing I won't really get it for a while yet.

no I can't, because Amazon requires an active phone number for an account with them, which I don't have & won't get.
That's how I got locked out of my #Amazon account, I stopped using an old phone number (which I only used for texts) as it didn't pay to keep it & when I tried to login, they demanded that phone still be active.
If I was given a Kindle now (by an odd magic someone), my driving over it wouldn't be an accident this time thusly.
Any electric device selling company that requires I have an active phone number on file with them won't get me as a consistent customer of theirs, as said discrimination isn't something I'll willingly support.

I ran over my Kindle years ago with my car, as I didn't realize/feel it slipping from my bag & unknowingly onto the ground but it was a few days after it began malfunctioning via turning on it's AI/digital assistant directly against my consent, which is why if my planned building of a therapy pool in my home improves my neuropathy to constantly what it is on high barometric pressure days in summer, then I'll at least try #Kobo in all likelihood but never a kindle after that mess. I don't miss it at all, but I know some things are only digitally published, hence my future likely bend.

I'm just a pretty hardline "no" on all ebook readers & that method as a whole for my use.
It isn't to say that I'm against anyone who likes them, but it is to say that I've tried it & have returned to hard copy only reading of books. Mainly it's my problems with hardware durability that's done this (an extension being why I'm not buying any smartphones in all likelihood, until I see improvement in durable hardware compatible with open source OS) but it's also how inconsistent I am in touchscreen use, which affects ebook readers more than smartphones.

So they're starting to at least try to enforce mandating EVs, mainly now in 8 US states it's RVs, but there are 2 major problems with this & a somewhat secondary 3rd one....
1. EVs can't start in under 33°F temperatures (RVs being kept mostly outside, especially by people living in them year round)& most of the area these mandates cover definitely see colder temperatures than that (New York, Massachusetts & New Jersey among them) .
2. The electric grid isn't strong & powerful enough to handle the extra electric needs - if this change was made
Secondarily (3) I don't see how this (if the above tech & science problems were fixed) could reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Over 70% of the grid power is generated by coal fired power plants & between the added energy needed to make current batteries & how short a time they last, it's questionable at best as to if - even with a change of grid power to 100% renewables ( decentralized solar/hydro/wind) as to if current EVs would use less carbon burning than regular vehicles do.
