Robert Bly makes an interesting point in his book Iron John about the importance of "distinction" and the importance this places on the role of boundaries and selection. It is distinction which makes the world a beautiful place. Beauty is found in the rainbow because of the distinction of all of the many colors within it. If it were not possible to tell apart red, from orange, and yellow, and all of the many shades between, beauty would be lost. I'm reminded of the book, The Giver, in this

Let's not forget that in the same way that Europe finds itself unfortunately suffering from regulatory over reach that has left the masses suffering, the US (albeit to a less existential degree) has also found itself in a similar situation with issues such as regulations on vehicle emissions which has decimated the small and mid-size diesel vehicle industry. Instead of pointing and laughing, we should be learning valuable lessons from their real and unfortunate suffering.

The buoyancy of the ping pong ball pulls up on the right side with as much force as the volume of the water it displaces pushes down due to gravity. It's like trying to sail a sail boat by placing a fan on the boat. The forces cancel themselves out. The steel ball displaces an equal volume of fluid, but does not pull up on the left right like the ping pong ball does on the right, so the force of the water displaced is not canceled out and the left side goes down.

2026-06-20 19:28:20 UTC

- reply

The displaced water weighs something, and it pushes back up on the ball with exactly that weight. The difference on the scale isn't the displacement force itself. It's how that force reaches the pan. The ping pong ball is tied to the bottom of its own beaker. The string yanks upward on the beaker with nearly the full buoyant force, canceling most of the downward shove on the water. This is Archimedes' principle.

2026-06-20 17:44:10 UTC

- reply

Unpopular opinion. You're all wrong. This isn't a mass equation, it's a buoyancy equation. Since both sides have the same displaced fluid volume, the steel ball pushes down on the water because it is outside of the system, while the forces on the right with the ping pong ball cancel themselves out since they are all internal within the system.

4) Buy a private island for $17m
5) Use the $700k to ship the remaining $20m gold
6) Sip pina coladas while polishing your gold as you watch your $30m btc climb to $150m

"Permethrin is the one that actually kills ticks on contact rather than just pushing them away. Spray it on pants, socks, shirts, and footwear in a well-ventilated spot, let it dry completely, and it bonds to the fabric. One treatment lasts through several washes—often 6 to 70 depending on the product and how you launder it—and studies show it cuts tick bites dramatically (one trial had people 73 times less likely to get bitten on treated socks and shoes)."

It's apparently a permanent neurological dysfunction caused by ssri withdrawal, in the form of akathisia which she also blames for their severe dietary allergies which *forced* them onto the Lion Diet. The recent hospitalization had nothing to do with benzos (and the past benzo related hospitalization was so severe because the stress from the benzo withdrawal triggered severe akathisia from the prior ssri withdrawal), but instead by a recent exposure to a moldy environment.

Leftism has become a deliberate inversion of the natural order since 1972. It is not simply ignorance that defines modern left-wing progressivism, but a profound contempt for a lack or alignment with all things good an natural. From sexuality to economics and religion, the ideology is built entirely on the foundation that the natural order is cruel and should be rejected.

One day, I woke up and decided I was tired of being a little boy trapped in a man's body. What did I do about it? I went hunting for every book I could find on what it meant to be a man, how to escape my own psychological prisons, and how to become the best man that I could possibly become. Now my collection of books is complete and sitting at 134 books, organized by prerequisite reading order. In this, I discovered "Adam's Return" by Richard Rohr and plan to get initiated in September.

Overblown fears for GrapheneOS users. Yeah, Google would do this, but anti-trust heat is on them hard, while ASOP support for Pixel 10 was released in Nov. And GrapheneOS is currently working on pulling away from Pixel devices to avoid Google's Pixel lockdown. Legally, Google can't get away with locking down ASOP like they can with Pixels, so pivoting to other OEM devices is a smart move.

And the lemon scent is amazing in kitchens, admittedly. This year, I am buying my mom a new analog watch. Women's watches are surprisingly inexpensive compared to men's, and a good watch is also a fashion statement. Also, you mentioned fountain pens in your post. The only reason to advocate against burning hydrocarbons is out of a desire to reduce the human population because you're a self hating, satan worshipping, ghoul.
