Quit saying the bad word!!! Do not need another round of them. Was just about recovered from ian when Helene flooded some of the neighbors. We just had a bit of salt water in the yard from that one then Milton smacked us. Poor neighbors were flooded again and a tornado we suspect hit the house and side building and pump house. I am pretty much back to before again New fence, rebuilt pump house and all the out buildings have 4 foot ground anchors tied to the upper sills to try and prevent uplift.

My snowbird neighbors just arrived from New York this week. He said it was an eye opening experience. Twice when stopping at rest stops he said he came into contact with Ice or LEO's working with ice, Who noticed he looks S. American and assumed he was someone they could scoop up. Said he had to cuss one guy out who kept demanding his papers proving he was allowed to be here .
Neighbors is Puerto Rican , is 78 years old, a Marine served in Vietnam. Was saying what the hell is happening.
Neighbor voted for Trump, is a proud republican. Told him you voted for it . He said no he voted to keep the woman who would ruin the U.S. out of office and his retirement safe.
If the economy collapses later this year or early next I might bring that up about his retirement.

If you were evil there is something you could do. Adults do not hear high pitch sounds. You could do similar to what I do when idiots let their dogs crap on my yard and leave it.
A 10 watt warbling sound generator that varies from 25 Khz to 35Khz is aimed out there. It has 4 horn tweaters that can be aimed to cover the area. It's very directional so when the dogs enter the cone of pain they back away and have to be picked up squirming as they try to escape the sound.
Most quickly give up and walk elsewhere.
I do not leave it long as the rabbits and squirrels also hate it.

I'm lucky that I looked like them. Unlike someone whose racial makeup was not from Europe. I remember as a kid the people that came up from Florida city to help us with the okra were treated like trash when we would go into town to get ice and supplies. Even though I was maybe 11 or 12 the store owners would always talk to me saying their accents make them difficult to understand.
In the evenings I would take the other kids and we would go to the guava orchid and have guava fights. And have to be hosed down afterwards. I remember the girls squealing when the guava maggots were squirming on them And after awhile tossing guava bombs like the rest of us.
Wonder if they grew up to hate okra as much as I do?

What was bad for me was at the time I thought I was the one who had done something wrong. Had it explained by my father that some did not like us.
But I also remember on a trip we took from Homestead up to Sarasota to visit an Aunt we stopped for gas and to use the restrooms at a station.
And a young boys father asking if his son could use the restroom. And the attendant shaking his head no and pointing out back to the trees. Can you guess their skin color?
My dad shushed me when I started to ask, then after were were driving away I asked again why he was not allowed to use the restroom. " Son that is just the way those people are." That scene stuck with me.
So yes those kinds have always been here. And now it is acceptable for them to be out in the open again .

They have always been here. Growing up I remember the little things. Like the little girl who held my hand one time in Third grade. Whose parents yanked her away telling her she was not to do that with them. Or the jokes that were told in jest, hope you do not take offense Nerb. Ever had someone stand in front of you at work and make a square with his hands and look through it? Then comment " You really would have made a good lampshade" That was before they would have gotten in trouble for it. Imagine it was still done when I was not around. Know what's the difference between a Jew and a Pizza? If I would not have probably been fired I should have punched that asshole.
Hornrim, Heeb, lizard ( Jews were like lizards all over Miami Beach ) kike, was interesting working in S Florida in the 1970's. Imagine my dad had it even worse.

Sadly the way it would go is "There are rules for thee but not for me".
He is already having judges and politicians charged for way less than his minions did Jan 6th.
I suspect it will end in violence as the odds we will have elections to stop him in 2026 are slim. He or those who are making decisions for him know if they lose the house and Senate they are in trouble.

Interesting. I apparently reinvented the wheel to keep plants alive in the drought situation here in SW Florida. I use 5 gallon plastic buckets and drill 3 small holes in the bottom in a group. They are placed next to the plant or tree I am watering with the holes closest to the plant. When filled with water they slowly drip the water out so it does not run on the surface. Instead it is absorbed into the ground around the roots. A stick is inside so anoles and other animals can climb out if they fall in.
I have been using these for years in our sandy soil. Mine were made as it is easier to water that way and using less water is a bonus.
I made 8 of them and move them from plant to plant over a 4 day rotation. Just wish we would get rain so it would wash some of the salt out of the soil from the hurricanes last year. I lost so many mature trees.

I remember seeing a toot from another instance where they had the ((())) around her name and a quick search found that was to identify they were Jewish . They were doing it as a protest, so I added it to mine too. I started getting people following me and strange nonsensical ( to me ) dm's. As well as many toots having anti jewish replies.
I was on universaldon at the time and joined techhub without moving anything so I started over.
Shortly after the previous hub moved overseas so i may have had to move anyway. Lesson learned , there are some seriously hateful folks out there.

Waiting for the electricity tariff to jump to 50%. Orange dumbo does not look back at history and see his hero McKinney's tariffs led Canada to react in a way he did not foresee.
The majority of Canadians saw the McKinley tariff as part of “a conspiracy” to “betray this country into annexation.” and started shipping their goods to Great Briton and other countries.
Oh and the American reaction to McKinney's tariffs ?
The tariff was not well received by Americans who suffered a steep increase in prices. In the 1890 election, Republicans lost their majority in the House with the number of seats they won reduced by nearly half, from 171 to 88.[14] In the 1892 presidential election, Harrison was soundly defeated by Grover Cleveland, and the Senate, House, and Presidency were all under Democratic control. And the Dems quickly removed the tarrifs.
Sister in Law will love that they recently converted to all electric in their house.

It took almost 4 years before the bats decided to move into the bat house we put up. It's 15 feet in the air and out in an open area away from activity . Was told that is normal so do not be surprised if yours stays empty for a long time.
They should be leaving shortly as it is getting dark here. Hard to count but I'd say at least 15 to 18 roost in it now. Appear to be Brazilian free-tailed bats. Also known as Mexican free-tailed bats.
They moved in shortly after hurricane Ian passed through and survived Milton a few weeks back.
Thinking of putting up another one.

Some of us males also can run into issues. I was born overseas at Johnson Air Force base in Japan which no longer is there. I spent a good bit of time chasing down how to get a certified copy of my birth certificate so we could get passports . All I had was a copy and it was almost illegible. If anyone else has a similar problem it's not a traditional birth certificate it's called a Consular Report of Birth Abroad AKA Form FS-240. Here is where to go to get one.

Edit, remembered I like the Hazel Dickens version better. Now driving the poor wife nuts with bluegrass.

I never was able to go to one of his concerts. That was mostly during what I call the blink, a time when I worked almost as many over time hours as I did regular. I actually exceeded regular hours a few years. Was good money and appreciated now that I am retired but man I had no life !
Ever listen to Jason Isbell? He has quite a few songs that resonate with me.

This group and the school board races caused many of us who were independents and democrats to switch parties so we could have a say.
It's not just Desantis's picks we have to watch out for . Michael Flynn is trying to stealth takeover ours and adjoining counties. His sister was one of the the candidates for the hospital board and he had irons in the fire in other races.
