Happy #EuropeDay to everyone who cares about this day!
The theme of the holiday is "Peace and Unity in Europe", and when we look back on centuries of war and destruction in #Europe, the founding of the #EuropeanUnion was a real milestone for many people across the continent.
#Russia's war of aggression in #Ukraine sadly shows us that warmongers are not a thing of the past, and nationalism is unfortunately still an issue in many parts of Europe. "Peace and Unity" still shines brightly.
