Wow!
Canadian journalist asks Moshe Feiglin, a former Likud Member of Knesset, if he is concerned about Israel's plummeting global standing.
Feiglin's response is chilling, as it reveals the fundamental supremacist view he and many in Israel hold.
He says that the real moral

Not every day I find myself in support of Trump, but here we go.
To examine the Memorandum of Understanding and ask “Was the war worth it?” is nonsensical.
Of course it wasn’t. How could it have been? The premise itself is deeply flawed: that a failed war of choice would somehow strengthen Washington’s hand at the negotiating table and produce more favorable terms.
The question is also flawed in another, more consequential way. It implies that a war should not be brought to an end until it has produced better terms—even when the war itself is failing.
Taken seriously, that logic leads to a dangerous conclusion: that a failed war must continue until the battlefield fortunes somehow improve and a more favorable outcome becomes attainable. Perhaps that day will come. Perhaps it never will. In the meantime, the costs—in lives, treasure, regional stability, and strategic credibility—are treated as secondary considerations.
This is how endless wars are born.

After the Free Press ran that hit piece on my claiming the State Department was trying to deport me, @npub1lvp…2a5u messaged me to invite me onto his show. He had read my Substack explaining the backstory and wanted to get deeper into both that issue and the war, the negotiations, and Israel's role in US-Iran tensions. The vast majority of the world views America's war in Iraq as a major failure. It destabilized the region, spread radicalism, and gave birth to ISIS.
But when John Bolton casts it as a success, he is not lying. He just has a different metric of success.
It achieved the key thing Bolton and his ilk aimed for: Iraq was eliminated from the regional chessboard as a major player that could project power and challenge the US or Israel.
We see evidence of that today, as Israel built a secret base in Iraq during the Iran war to attack Iran.
That is, 20 years later, the Iraq war has still left Iraq in such a weak state that Israel can willy-nilly set up secret bases on its territory to attack other countries.
It was never about human rights or democracy.

Regarding Trump's threat/decision to impose a naval blockade on Iran, color me a skeptic.
1. Taking more oil off the market, particularly the only oil that is now getting out from the Persian Gulf, will drive oil prices further up, and the paper price of oil will get closer to the actual price, which should be around $150 per barrel. A dramatic increase in inflation in the US will ensue. Avoiding this is precisely why Trump was stuck in a position where he had no escalatory options out of this conflict before the ceasefire. He still doesn't.
2. Stopping tankers carrying Iranian oil wouldn't just be an escalation vis-à-vis Iran, but also against the countries that are buying Iranian oil, which includes China, India, and other Asian countries. I doubt Trump is ready for that escalation, particularly given the upcoming summit in Beijing.
3. This is also true for punishing countries that have negotiated a toll with Iran for the Straits. That includes Pakistan, which hosted the negotiations.
4. The naval blockade escalation will make the closing of the Red Sea more likely by the Houthis. That would take another 12% of global oil flow off the market. We would now be looking at oil around $200 per barrel.
There are nine or so days left of the ceasefire. Since neither side has explicitly stated that talks won't resume, or that the ceasefire is dead and over with, all these moves should be treated as tactics and threats within the negotiations.
It wouldn't be surprising if these threats are walked back soon (perhaps before markets open on Monday) and a new round is announced.
HOWEVER, there is a time for brinkmanship, and there is a time for serious negotiations.
If the US truly was insisting on zero enrichment in Islamabad, which was not Trump's red line at first but rather Israel's, then the next talks will be rendered a failure - just as the talks in May 2025 were killed by Trump shifting to the Israeli red line.
Still, I don't think that necessarily will lead to a return to war. A more likely scenario is a new non-negotiated status quo in which Tehran retains control over the Straits but doesn't get any sanctions relief, while the US pulls out of the war, and the question becomes whether Israel will continue the war on its own.

This is one of the most disgusting things you'll see today, but also extremely revealing.
@npub1mvk…gryy asks former White House Press Secretary Jean-Pierre if she regrets defending Biden’s Gaza policy (blind support and for Israel's genocide).
She first tries to explain it away by saying that she spoke on behalf of the President, not herself.
When Ayman points out that she now speaks for herself, Jean-Pierre refuses to give a clear yes or no answer but instead says she needs to add context.
And what is that context?
Here, Jean-Pierre plays the identity card, saying she woke up every morning being proud of being the first black and queer spokesperson for the WH. (So what??)
And then she adds: “I was very proud of everything that I did. I don’t take anything back.”
So she uses the identity card to make genocide apologism permissible.
Just as those in Europe who divide the world between Democracies and Authoritarians, and then argue that Israel's apartheid, genocide, and war crimes are all permissible because Israel is a "democracy."
Laws, rules, and ethical standards are not objective and do not apply equally to all. Rather, your identity and/or your political makeup determine whether laws and ethical standards apply to you.
And in Jean-Pierre's world, her identity gives her the license to support genocide without regret.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!
I have been told that this story is likely part of a misinformation campaign.
UEFA has not met to discuss Israel. The framing of the article, however, appears designed to leave the impression that the matter is now closed.
Not only would this cause the thousands of activists who have pushed this matter to stop pressing for Israel's expulsion - since they will be led to believe that the battle is over - but it is also designed to leave the impression that the campaign is futile altogether because the US will not allow for Israel's expulsion.
Such a belief helps ensure that the campaign also isn't revived at a later point.
The truth is all options are on the table and that this is the moment to increase the pressure - rather than giving up.
In fact, Israel has never been this close to being kicked out.

This is as shocking as it is revealing:
Police in Berlin spray-painted over the Palestinian flag, while leaving the rest of the graffiti unaddressed.
Thus, graffiti is not the problem. This is not the case of an expression of violence, either. Nor is it about breaking the law, since all of the graffiti in that case should have been addressed.
Rather, the mere symbol of the people of Palestine appears to be an affront to the German authorities.
The German government seems to prefer that Palestinians simply didn't exist.
So while its weapons help Israel commit a genocide in Gaza, at home, German authorities wipe out anything that reminds ordinary Germans that Palestinians are a people, that they are humans, that they have the same right to statehood as all other peoples.
Having committed genocide against the Jewish people in the 1940s, it seems increasingly difficult to deny that Germany today is a full partner in the genocide against Palestinians - both figuratively and literally.

A key point overlooked in the story about Israeli officials calling the cell phones of senior Iranian generals and urging them to record messages declaring their surrender lest Israel kill them and their wives and children (!) is that none of them appear to have done so.
The calls occurred only two hours into the war, after some of Iran's top generals had been killed. This was the moment in which Iran was in disarray, having been completely taken off guard. It was probably a moment when many of them feared that the regime was actually on the verge of collapse.
About twenty calls similar to the one below were made. The generals were given twelve hours to record surrender videos and send them to Israeli officials, who would then make them public.
Yet, not a single surrender video appears to have been made, despite the threat Israel made about killing the children of the generals. Had they been made, Israel would surely have circulated them to spread panic within the state apparatus and inspire ordinary Iranians to rise against the regime.
This suggests that the resilience of the Iranian system may be stronger than Israel and the US had presumed, particularly since the recordings are from a moment when the regime truly appears to have been in a state of disarray, if not panic.
This may also provide a hint to the Trump administration regarding Tehran's ability to resist pressures to force Iran to surrender its enrichment program.

Belgium makes a u-turn and says it won't comply with the ICC and arrest accused war criminal Netanyahu.
The justification for the reversal is totally bizarre. The Belgian PM argued that there "is such a thing as realpolitik and that "practical considerations prevail over ethical considerations."
I agree. It is naive to expect that when vital interests are at stake, countries would prioritize norms and laws.
When vital interests are at stake, that is. What vital interest does Belgium have in supporting Israel's genocide?
What is so vital to Belgium about Israel killing thousands of Palestinian women and children that it is willing to forego the very essence of the European project for the sake of Netanyahu and his thirst for slaughter?
What is so important for Belgium about ensuring the death of Palestinians that it is willing to sacrifice the very laws, norms and principles that provided Europe with peace for 70 years and that Europe leaned on to gather support for Ukraine?
This is not real politik. This is the opposite of real politik, because Belgium is actually sacrificing its vital interest for a completely different country - a country whose goal has been to destroy the very system of norms and laws Europe rightly has defined as vital.
RIP Europe.
