And by day 7 they are back in school, as you realise how exhausting home schooling is!

I've got two more to visit - one in a different European country, one in South America.
Via @nprofile…j6e6, natch.

It must be exhausting to never be satisfied. We sure do like to complicate our human experience.

Man is dangerous. That's his job. Not towards his family, but to protect his family. If it has to be.

The feeling is mutual as I so enjoyed waking up to your exquisite guitar post! Then was sent a video of my grandson waking up my daughter at the crack of sparrowfart with his unadulterated joy of being alive, and my cup runneth over at the beauty that exists in this world.

The European Mining Summit taking place in Helsinki on 23rd September - a collaboration between @nprofile…w5z5 and @nprofile…lylu - is going to be awesome. We are building bridges between the worlds of mining, energy, and academia.
Once energy and academia understand the potentials of flexible data centres to help solve the current problems faced by the European energy infrastructure, they will themselves push for the necessary regulatory framework to facilitate mining in Europe.
One step at a time.
The first panel on Europe's Energy Transition, moderated by @nprofile…kh9m, is the first of its kind - bringing together miners and 'net zero' proponents on one stage, to debate who should get to choose the winners of Europe's 'flexible demand' battle - the regulators or the market? Communism or capitalism? What does history teach us?

Getting upset about decisions made by the bureaucrats of the EU (or elsewhere) is a waste of your precious time and energy. They can legislate and regulate away to their heart's content. Removing your energy from the system and redirecting it to building the world you wish to live in is the most effective way. Opt out.

There's so much business email jargon bullshit. 'circling back' being one of the most cringeworthy. Why can't we just talk to each other normal like?

The internet, bitcoin and nostr will together precipitate the demise of today's political systems and nation-states.
What comes next?
I like to imagine a more decentralised form of society, where leaders have to constantly earn their right to lead.
Where wealth flows naturally to those helping to create a sustainable, healthy, and culturally rich society. Where society members take responsibility for themselves first, then their families and then their neighbours. With compassion. And common sense.
Where what makes us uniquely human is celebrated and revered.
Where who you are matters. Not what you have.
That's a future I can get excited about.

This is a great story.
Bitcoin will conquer Europe first as an solution to our energy problems. And only then as a solution to our money problems. The pain is great enough with the first problem, and not yet with the second.
Kenji's energy was electrifying at @nprofile…uam2's Energy Summit in Lisbon.
These events play an enormous role in lighting the fires of inspiration.
Join us at the premier European Mining Summit in Helsinki 23rd September, a collaboration between @nprofile…t2vr and @nprofile…58xa for more inspiring stories.
Bringing hashrate to Europe.
