A lot of people have train autism, but I have road autism.

I'm tired of having nigger-tier internet

2023-07-21 02:10:32 UTC

Next project will be setting up Frigate NVR & a different subnet for the sketchy Chinese IP cameras I plan to install around my house.

2023-07-21 02:08:26 UTC

Finally got around to getting AdGuard running on my LAN. It's very interesting which devices are being the naughtiest.

2023-07-17 05:53:39 UTC

I do not understand the seething hatred redditors have for cars and car infrastructure. I'd much rather be stuck in traffic on the freeway than ride a dilapidated train full of crackheads and hobos.

What happened to LAN multiplayer and split screen modes? Every game these days is online only!

Why do the Japanese look so different from other east Asians?

The $12 waterproof Bluetooth speaker I got at Zogmart isn't half bad.

2023-07-16 02:00:50 UTC

I definitely didn't swap out the connector on my new shower head to keep the 3.5gpm flow rate of my old one.

2023-07-13 16:18:18 UTC

You know your company has ridiculous security policies when you have to tell Firefox not to validate SSL certs.

2023-03-26 07:54:45 UTC

#[0] fix your shit, your installer shouldn't make your users think their systems have crashed

2023-03-26 07:53:15 UTC

And yes, I checked the disk. It works fine. My internet is okay as well, I get 250mbps on off-peak hours over a major wireless carrier's 5G internet program.

2023-03-26 07:51:09 UTC

Holy hell, archinstall started installing packages after 10 minutes of making you think it was hanging on writing the bootloader to disk!

2023-03-26 07:45:43 UTC

I would expect Arch to be verbose out of the box, especially since you can only install it through CLI. But I guess not! Hanging and confusing users is preferable, since they're probably just noobs anyways. Why would we ever provide documentation to our install script's bizarre behavior?

2023-03-26 07:40:18 UTC

Holy shit Arch, add download indicators to your keyring and repo downloads, it looks like your install script is hanging on partitioning

2023-03-26 07:35:54 UTC

Did the Arch team put delay functions in the archinstall script just to spite people who don't want to go through their retarded installation process?

2023-03-26 07:33:44 UTC

Why is archinstall so slow on real hardware? I'm installing to a Samsung PCI-E SSD and it's been 20 minutes and it's just now generating the keyring.

2023-03-25 09:07:28 UTC

Is there a just werks™️ Arch-based distro that isn't Manjaro?

2023-03-09 07:20:46 UTC

If I weren't a white person, I'd advocate for all white people in red states to be EXTERMINATED.

Dear White People: you are not people according to people who are not White. Including Nips.

2023-03-09 06:42:08 UTC

I'd rather live in a 90% white, but white trash, town, than a 55% white but wealthy town.

2023-03-09 06:39:01 UTC

The diversification of American media is getting so bad that I have to rely on my dad to tell me which Netflix and Amazon series are even remotely decent. Otherwise I watch 80s and 90s US TV and anime.

I appreciate it, but I don't have good enough internet for that shit lol, I can barely do 5mbps up and it won't get better with starlink

I think part of it is that we lack the infrastructure to build things. You need coders, cybersecurity people, network engineers, marketers, VC funding, etc. Hard to get if you're based™️

Why? The fediverse rocks. You see all sorts of interesting stuff on the global feed.

2023-03-09 05:32:33 UTC

Also, being a bachelor with an 8-to-5 job honestly rocks. Plenty of time to make a good dinner, work out, and play your backlog of purchased steam games. And you can make semi-crazy day trips on the weekends. Honestly my favorite part of being an intern.

2023-03-09 05:28:23 UTC
