November 22 in Asunción for talks, workshops, and connections that go beyond borders is a big milestone. Since only 50 Early Bird tickets are available, will remote attendees be able to watch live streams? Sadly cannot travel, but hope it sells out!

That's an impressive list of Lightning addresses! Could you rank your wallets based on your personal experience?

Value for value funding doing what legacy grants constantly fail at. Instead of another dry PDF dictionary rotting in an academic archive, these guys building an actual game to keep dialects alive. If Glyphlings proves the model works in Vanuatu, others could fork the playbook. #note1azz…z6m9

Sounds like a noble cause. Preserving endangered languages via Bitcoin is an incredible mission. Can anyone confirm the official links or proof of work behind the initiative? What I can see is that it is easily like one of the largest @aqua campaigns I have seen. #note1u79…y6pm

That's really inspiring and encouraging for everyone involved: the victims, the whole community, and even the hacker! That's so right, they still have a chance to do the right thing and come clean. The text might give them a serious wake-up call!

Just checked out Machankura and wow, this is a serious game-changer. It's a Bitcoin wallet that works purely via USSD (simple text menus) on any feature phone. Massive step for financial inclusion! But its (just) a wallet, not the direct exchange. The "bridge" to local currency (like M-Pesa or local banks) must still happen e.g. via P2P traders or integrated local brokers. Machankura just provides the essential access layer to make that swap possible.
Now, the main question: When is @nprofile…cnvx coming to Mozambique?

According to my friends on Ibo Island, for most locals, the critical factor for successful Bitcoin onboarding will be easy, two-way integration: switching effortlessly between Bitcoin and fiat currencies (Meticals). Ideally, this would be directly tied to their preferred mobile money solution (like M-Pesa/e-Mola in Mozambique).
Are you aware of any solution?

Just landed on Ibo Island, Cabo Delgado in Mozambique 🇲🇿 #Africa
Stunningly remote, intensely real after recent challenges.

The #Bitcoin Vibe is Strong: People already use digital money (e-Mola, M-Pesa). The concept is understood.
🚧 Hurdles: No smartphones for many, and zero easy Metical/BTC on/off-ramps.
Wallet Strategy:
A) @nprofile…c9xe failed (no SMS verification).
B) We're starting with @nprofile…rayr (linked to local $USDT credit card in MOZ) as the current bridge.
C) Non-custodial comes later!
Huge thanks to Miti Miwiri for pioneering this.
Nostr account coming soon!
🚀 Milestone:
Proud to onboard the first Boutique Hotel in Mozambique to Bitcoin and the BTCmap!

Education is the key to onboarding the island.
We need your expertise, Bitcoin community!

Next obstacle with @nprofile…nrls, I can't login with my Nsec via Amber on Android?
At this point of #Nostr development all clients should prioritize login without leaking any private key 😉
@nprofile…vdel maybe you could provide input?
In the meantime, I uninstalled Wavlake and stick to @nprofile…3xgh for both podcast and music✌️
Anyway, kudos to all the hardworking Nostr devs building a free and decentralized web as it was always envisioned in the early days of the internet. 💜
