Someone should create a nostr radio app where anyone can create a radio station. Then we could plug the app into our cars and listen to nostr radio stations or listen to it at home. That would be cool.

no.. but your idea seems cool. Maybe I could setup a radio station too but take turns with my friends running the radio station. I want to hear people talk sometimes on the radio, like a real radio station but nostr based.

NosTwitter

2026-10-22 16:51:44 UTC

Nostrich is NosTwitter.
They've openly said they want to become a public company someday, and there's big money backing the project. That alone makes me question where they're heading.
We all know what happens when big corporate money gets involved. Everything becomes about profits, collecting user data, keeping investors happy, and eventually controlling what people see.
I wouldn't be surprised if NosTwitter ends up going down the exact same road as Twitter, where the people with the most money get the most influence.
I actually liked Nostrich when it first came out, but now it looks exactly like Twitter. It's ugly. Where's the creativity? Did they hire a bunch of ex-Twitter developers or something?
Anyway, I'm sticking with Amethyst.

Ya I'm not surprised. They openly came out and said their future goal was to become a public company. They are building for big corporate money and that means they will harvest and sell your data and other typical things.
It's just a copy of Twitter and their goals and plans are exactly like twitter. They will manipulate and shape the narrative based on whoever has big money.
I don't like that app. It's identical to twitter. It's ugly.

I checked my Backblaze account, and I've only used about 100 MB of storage from all my uploads over the past 6 months.
As long as I don't upload videos, I probably won't go over the 10 GB free storage limit anytime soon.
At my current rate of usage, I'm good for another 49.5 years! 😂

2026-10-22 04:52:48 UTC

Slayer and I are in the same situation. We both would love to constantly post videos but because both of us are too poor to afford video hosting, we can't post videos. Backblaze gives me 10GB of free storage after that I have to pay. Once I reach 10GB I'm not sure what I will do.
I tried hosting my own videos on a server but playback is too slow because you need some CDN stuff.
But me and slayer have big plans this upcoming year. We're going to work hard so we can be rich rich rich!

LFL (Let's Fo Live) is basically what you've built on your /livestream page, but with more features.
It's a live streaming page with a Nostr video player and Nostr chat. When you go live, you send your viewers to your own domain, where they can watch your stream and interact with you. Comments from other Nostr clients also show up directly on your website.
I'll see if I can get you an LFL instance so you can try it out. If you like it, you can eventually move it to your own website

If you try to upload videos on your own server it will be slow because you need CDN. Nostr build gives you CDN and so does Backblaze. That's why video creators aren't popular on nostr. It's too expensive and YouTube hosts your videos for free.

2026-10-22 01:00:10 UTC

I can't upload videos either because LFL doesn't want to host our videos. I use backblaze and now I can upload videos. Backblaze has 10GB of data. What do you use for uploading videos? I only upload pictures for me live steams nothing else really. I should make a video of backblaze for you.

2026-10-20 05:59:09 UTC

Apparently, Nostrich is giving away free sats for liking and reacting to notes.
That's not genuine engagement. It's incentivized activity that encourages people to interact for rewards rather than because they're actually interested in the content.
Nostrich will become another platform full of artificial engagement, just like the problems we've seen on Twitter/X.
And speaking of Twitter/X, Nostrich already looks almost identical to it. Couldn't they come up with something more original instead of copying an existing platform?

I actually think they should just rename the whole state because then people will call themselves New American and think they are better than old Americans, and it will eventually will lead into New America trying to take over the whole country and rename it to New America so everyone will call themselves New Americans.
Trump says:
"New Mexico should immediately change its name to New America. We are not Mexico, we are the United States of America! The name would add great value and prestige to the State! Home Values and Incomes would rise, and you would be even prouder while saluting our beautiful American Flag! POTUS will be well insulated/protected on AF1 and abroad (specific locations classified) while these operations are conducted due to the nature of the entrenchment. It is time to take back our country and make America great again. Let us salute and pray for the brave men and women in uniform who will undertake this assignment to bring forth peace, unity, and return power to the people.
It is our hope that this message reaches enough people to make a meaningful impact. We cannot yet telegraph this message through normal methods for reasons I’m sure everyone here can understand. Follow the questions from the previous thread(s) and remain calm, the primary targets are within DC and remain at the top (on both sides). The spill over in the streets will be quickly shut down. Look for more false flags – stay alert, be vigilant, and above all, please pray.
