Well that's odd. Looking at replies tab, saw someone chatting. Saw his comment from his current account name. Reply to him showed his comment as a quoted note, but in the quoted note displayed his old display name and picture. I've seen lots of funny bugs here, but that's a first.

Thought it'd be fun to make a little addition to Hashwar. Anyone with a plume nip05 now get's the option to build up to two "couriers", flying units with enhanced range, that can repair and heal units it's nearby. It's funny, seeing how creative you can get.

GM nostr fam - mate's back in Hospital. Getting beyond a joke now. Off up there in a bit. Then back to the boat to add extra lines, since we're expecting our first storm of the season this weekend.
On the plus side, I thought it'd be fun to see if I could create a c&c style game for the site and...to some extent or another, it actually works 🥳😂

Finally signed in to the Plume account via a bunker url, sweet, it seemed, but for some reason, despite having permissions, can't seem to send to any relays, including my own. Sidecar, as a signer, does it allow multi account support?

2026-10-19 22:34:21 UTC

Funny old day today. Gotta crash soon. Back to the fiat mine tomorrow. Needed the break but not sure how rested I feel. Maybe I need another week off. Or a weekend away.

Tidied up the article view, fixed the relay manager, added video loading to quoted notes and the convo tab. Not bad for a couple of hours. The software industry is so fucked. I've read a few comments from developers on here. It's sad, because it was a true craft, yet now anyone can do what they do, like all the magicians secrets being revealed.

Quill Quest, new sideways scroller on Plume - bit simple, bit basic, but it's functional. 5 levels, scores published to Gamestr - all good fun :)

2026-10-18 08:21:50 UTC

Good Morning nostr friends :wechat_Coffee:
I've just created and am about to add a little classic sideways scrolling game action to @npub1rv7…rvhp however, I've hit a roadblock. For some reason the ftp access just won't.
Not to worry, because I've already dropped a new falling blocks style game this morning.
Since this is all starting to look and feel fairly polished now, I'm going to turn my attention back to Chronical the family tree app I'm building. No excuses now, it needs to be done.
Hope you're all having a lovely Sunday, however you're spending it. 🙏

2026-10-17 15:37:26 UTC

I've had enough of town today, I'm heading home to the boat for some peace and quiet. There's plenty of interesting discussion and perspectives to dig through in that earlier thread, so that'll keep my mind busy while the AI works this eve.

I don't think the staff up here like me very much. The other ward was great.
On this ward, they were rude to my friend. I scowled at them a lot. They apologised to my friend. That was yesterday.
Today, I come in, they bring him lunch, and try to put it on the table next to a used sick bowl that they've left there for ages.
Then there's the state of the floor. Gloves and detritus left lying around.

Highlights created by yourself or others should now show up when you're reading wiki entries. Clicking the highlight will show who highlighted it and, when the highlight was shared as a message, will link to the highlighters original note, in their profile view or, if that's not found on the relay, the thread it was a part of.
This *should* work in books as well, but I've not tested that yet.
Just got to figure out a sane way to integrate displaying highlights in the feed now, without the overwhelming that sometimes happens when someone goes on a highlighting frenzy. @npub1der…xzpc .

Just testing the highlights feature now I've apparently integrated it. I should be able to go to a wiki entry from this post, highlight some text and that highlight should be in the reply to this note.
For demonstration purposes, I'm going to start with a massive lie.
Craig Wright invented the pinhole camera.
Hopefully the wiki entry lists the name of the actual inventor, and the highlight from the wiki *should* show that in the reply to this note.

GM nostr friends :wechat_Coffee:
A bit more work to do on the wiki and guthenburg integrations today, which will also add highlights across the site. Then on to the games. I'll get back to housekeeping next week, there's still rough edges that need fixing up.
But first, to the hospital, where my poor friend is still suffering. It's been over 3 weeks now and he's getting worse. It's frustrating to see, tbh.

I've been awake for night on 21 hours now, it was a rough day but after a brief time on the beach I was able to sit down and achieve something that had just been an idea a few hours earlier. Great way to end it. But now, nostr, as much as I love your company, I really must crash 🫂

I'm going to use a post by npub1g55mzg9z4mejau0tajkc9ajw29cqe2n9qm5ugz4maknelpzuzttqtnxdg2 as a great example of how I've just integrated the amazing nostr wiki tool in to Plume.
An interesting post is written. Thinks I, to myself, I wonder what a pinhole camera is? So I press the W button below the note, the text comes up, I select the word I'm interested in, and search the wiki, which returns the result and I gets to learn a thing.

I do hope so - this was a weird one 😕

We're definitely moving in to wild times.

One hell of a day, started rough, ending not much better at this rate.
What I'm going to do though, is say fuck it, I'm not ending this day badly. I'm going to sit on the beach and listen to the sound of the water lapping on the shore.

Spoke too soon.

Apparently I'm back online, seems a bit shaky though. Sooner I get this converted to a proper native app the better.

Multiple browsers, devices etc. Namecheap just confirmed ddos.

I should set my agent to talk to namecheap customer service for me...being bounced from pillar to post, give me 10 more minutes, they keep saying. It loaded once, briefly, now it's down again. Just as well it's only me that uses it, really 😂

Well, it's more just a website, a nostr client I built for my own use, really. Just really annoying because an hour ago it worked.

2026-10-13 18:20:14 UTC

Bloody websites down suddenly. No idea why. Back to amy for a bit, I guess. None of my other websites are down. Just https://plume.website - bloody web apps...useless.

2026-10-13 11:51:28 UTC

It's a damn good question...

Hey, npub1m4ny6hjqzepn4rxknuq94c2gpqzr29ufkkw7ttcxyak7v43n6vvsajc2jl I'd DM you but I don't trust Dms to go through 😂
I was wondering about what you said to someone the other day, about ditto linking to Wikipedia instead of your wiki service. I'd love to integrate that in to my own client, mainly for my personal use, tbh. Is this something we could do? If I can do I'd be happy to mirror the content too and am more than happy to provide zappable attribution.

Yeah, I'm back 😎

GM #nostr - up since 5, off the boat, early breakfast.
Not gonna lie, woke up in a foul mood, pussed about everything. Hoping coffee, food and a moment of prayer will help me focus on the positive rather than raging at people today.

I gotta crash soon - work on custom emojis ongoing. Maybe I'll start to use them

Just started adding custom emoji support to Plume. It should work. Next step is to allow the use of custom emojis. If anyone wants to reply with a custom emoji and react with one, it should render properly at my end. Thanks in advance 🙏

I wish I'd created my keypair after it was figured out that we could bip39 then and store some seed words. I wish I'd created my keypair when this was being implemented.
But I can't. It's too late. I'm several years deep on this key, well invested in to it and unlikely to change it unless there's a compromise.
Great, for new comers, not so great for the rest of us. Such is life.

That's a bit weird. If there's a buf, take the report and fix it, surely? Feature requests, fine, want it? Pay for it. Unless that feature is is working as expected.
