I don't like how Docker messes with your firewall rules and will even force some degree of iptables dependence on you. I have tried using its DOCKER-USER chain but the results were flaky.
Podman, on the other hand, can be run completely daemonless and rootless meaning it will be not only uninterested but also completely unable to mess with your firewall.
This plus a reverse proxy give me so much versatility for a much lower cognitive cost compared to trying to make Docker behave.
Feels like such a basic thing to have your firewall rules managed strictly by you without any interference...

Today I learned through this blog post that Firefox has:
- A ' binding that will search only links
- The ability to override websites which disable right click by holding Shift
To the last hidden gem I'd add @ to search for search engines (how meta)

Here's a page in the BSD Café Wiki where you can now request and vote for possible new services to be added: https://wiki.bsd.cafe/docs:service-requests
Currently, Wallabag is listed as the first entry and I'd appreciate some votes from those interested to get things going and make it clearer for others how it works.
Happy voting!

Thanks for the info! In the end, did some cleaning up and got it down to ~2 MiB.

I've been wanting to move my configuration and personal notes repos to @npub1fh7…ee83 for a long time, but I had it in the back of my mind that they allow only public, freely licensed works.
Then someone mentioned to me you actually could as long as it's that exact use case, so I went to their Terms of Use to find a more explicit rendition of their actual policy. There I was happy to find the following:
> They are also allowed for really small & personal stuff like your journal, config files, ideas or notes, but explicitly not as a personal cloud or media storage.
Now, I do have more than a few configuration repos (because I like the separate histories) and I did place them inside a separate, private organization, which is what I used to do up until now at Gitlab. And while they are all just plain text files, my personal notes one is a bit larger with images accrued from course materials, the whole repo taking up 18.5 MiB as of now.
I hope that is "really small" enough?
