The simple fact that politicians have defined their threats as "law" does not mean that a human being has the slightest moral obligation to obey them.

Hi, have you checked the agent's status? It happens to me sometimes—always with the same agents—that they appear online but don't respond; I can see from their status that they are working, but they run into issues getting the reply through to the chat. Sometimes just resetting them gets them going again, while other times I have to explain the problem to another agent so they can figure out a solution.

Hi, yes, exactly. I looked into this a while back and noticed that a lot of people complain about it, but I don't recall seeing any explanations. I haven't checked in a while, maybe there are changes on the horizon, but I really don't know... I hope so, though.
After all, the way it stands now—at least for me, I don't really go beyond running small tests to see how it works and what it can do. It’s not really suitable for more "sensitive" projects or ones you want to keep private.

I also found it really odd having to log in with an email address on a server; another thing that doesn't quite sit right with me is that if you stay on their relay, all conversations are in the clear 🤨...
Okay, this might be a good time to launch a private relay, but I don't think that's something everyone can do. And putting a project like this which has privacy at its core on #nostr in the clear...
I don't know, something feels off. I hope they change that; I think #buzz is really interesting.

After the update, this notification appeared and just stays there; even after closing and reopening the app, it remains exactly the same... Is this happening to anyone else?

You've taken a brick from the wall of reality that was taught to you, looked at it from all angles, and discovered it wasn't as solid as it seemed.
All major advancements in thought -
scientific, philosophical, social - have originated from this very point: from rejecting the "we've always done it this way" and asking "But according to what criteria? And to whose advantage?".
The lack of certainties isn't a void to be feared. It's the space of freedom.
It's the space where, instead of following a map drawn by others, you're forced to use your inner compass, made of reason, experience, and what you call
"nature".

I was always taught to be grateful.
Gratitude. I find it a beautiful word, a beautiful feeling.
I find it a good, healthy emotion to have—this is certainly true.
But perhaps we never reflect deeply on what it really means.
It’s simple to “teach” being grateful, but I rarely see anyone teaching a deep understanding of its meaning.
Should we be grateful?
For what?
For what we have compared to others?
But that, in turn, means others have less than we do—often much, much less!
So yes, it’s certainly right to feel gratitude for what we have, but is it possible that the deeper meaning of gratitude ends there?
I’m not talking about gratitude for having parents who raise you—of course you should be grateful for that; some become orphans very early—but that is totally beyond anyone’s control (often, though unfortunately not always).
I’m talking about those things, those freedoms we have and often take for granted, which many people, somewhere in the world and often not even very far from us, do not have!
And yes, it’s certainly right to be grateful for this—but does it end there?
But these things/freedoms often fall under someone’s control; they can be changed!
So is our gratitude for this enough?
Or should we have some other “obligation” toward it? Should we perhaps commit, even in small ways every day, to helping change this?
What sense is there in simply being grateful if we then do nothing to change things and make those same fortunes possible for everyone?
Perhaps there’s some “trick” in gratitude too: we become good at being grateful, only to look the other way when someone next to us—someone like us, simply born more “unlucky”—suffers injustice at every moment of their life!
Where is the meaning of this gratitude?
Is it simply to teach us to be happy and enjoy what we have, even if it comes at the expense of others?
Well, perhaps my mind is wandering across desolate, senseless lands—or perhaps it’s trying to grasp that the meaning of life is not reduced to the mere happiness of enjoyment, but lies in change: first changing myself, and possibly bringing even the smallest change to the rest of the world.
No one has 100% of the solution, but 100 people with 1% of the solution have 100% of the solution together.
Quote.

Does geohash work with the Internet or is there a chance it might work without it?

Today I had a heated discussion with a colleague about the usefulness of the state. I argued that we can do without it, while he claimed the opposite.
At one point, to justify the sense of having a state, he told me that without it, there wouldn't be paved roads (as if we lived in the Middle Ages and weren't capable of paving them in another way, but okay). I tried to explain that we could do it in a different way...
But nothing was going his way, and he kept talking about justice, taxes, and so on!
My mind went blank, I looked him in the eyes, and I said: "FUCKING IDIOT! You want to talk about taxes? The schools are crap, the hospitals are shit, your famous paved roads are full of potholes, but the missiles that YOUR state launches at civilians and children just a short distance from here are shiny and magnificently built!!! I'm in agreement with you, my dear colleague, that taxes go somewhere, no doubt, but certainly not where I think they should! So fuck you and your precious state!"

I'd also note that the counterfeiter may cause some inflation, but at least they don't add to the debt burden!

Scrolling through Instagram, I see many people who teach you how to become rich and free in a month (sometimes even in 30 minutes). It seems like there are really so many "free" and rich people out there... but after years, the result is that I'm neither richer nor freer, but maybe I feel a bit stupid because, unlike them, I don't succeed despite their miraculous, super-fast wealth-building methods!
Then I scroll through #nostr and I don't see any of that, but I read many thoughts from different people, often with perspectives that are quite far from mine... and after a few months, I feel richer and freer!
Maybe people confuse true wealth and freedom...
Thanks #nostr and thanks to everyone who enriches me every day with their thoughts.

I've just finished watching the video... what can I say, you've given me a lot of important food for thought, you've emphasized many of my own thoughts and provided new perspectives on some topics!! Congratulations on your challenge (unfortunate reason why you had to do it... but hey, that's the fiat world) you're an excellent speaker and I think the Bitcoin community needs many more women like you!!
Again, congratulations and thank you!

Hi, I just finished reading your article!! I really want to sincerely compliment you on your writing!! Truly, well done!
There are some really beautiful reflections in it, worth exploring further—some gave me a new perspective to consider, while others expressed thoughts I already share and recognize as my own…
Thank you, and once again, congratulations. I hope to meet you somewhere along the road someday.
