Looks like Ruger suspending production of a bunch of products may be real. Apparently Harvey leaked an embargo, which opens on Sunday.
I'm a little disappointed for the PCCs, but perhaps they'll use this an opportunity to introduce a competitive PCC, perhaps a delayed blowback version of the LC.

@nprofile…gr3u You can have a BG 2.0 today that is still pocket sized and carries 10 rounds of .380. So people naturally outgrow the P32 and Seecamps. Some come back as they get old and decrepit, attracted to the lower recoil. It creates a natural circulation in the market of .32 automatics.
The dynamic in the .32 revolvers is different. The shooters started to recognize recently that the .327 Magnum is sufficiently powerful, but offers a capacity advantage. In the recent years, there was a growth in the interest and offerings, such as Ruger LCR with 6 rounds of .32 in a tiny cylinder.

Beretta 92 magazines
Large pistol with small trigger guard:
Glock magazines
Small pistols:
SIG P365 magazines
This is it. Everyone else should conform.

The product set is somewhat, shall I say, pedestrian. However, I was very impressed by his readiness to take a risk with the capital. He puts down the money to produce things in large batches (of thousands) at wholesale and/or factory price, then sells them retail.
I never could take such risk, even if it's ordinary in business. We make things in batches of 6 to 10, then sell. The only outlays we make are for tools and equipment.

2025-04-23 16:57:27 UTC

The only Mosin I have is the so-called "M59" cut-down on a 1942 Izhevsk receiver for a 1891/30. When I bought it, I knew nothing and it was cheap. Back then, M59 had no value, because the military provenance is destroyed on them. However, over time people started looking for them and their price increased, because of the mystery of their origin.
You see, all the M59 are made to a uniform specification, and there were a lot of them, upwards of 200,000. Maybe half a million even. They were clearly produced by a major arms factory. But to this day, nobody knows who made them, and who was the importer in the U.S..
You'd think ATF would know, but here's a thing: M59 are not marked with importer marks, which were required since 1968. Someone shipped half a million guns into the U.S., bypassed all the legal processes, and then distributed them to major retailers (I bought mine in Big 5 Sporting Goods). Isn't it amazing?
Some of M59s have Bulgarian cartouche on their stocks, so there's a suspicion that Arsenal did it (give it to Bulgarians to name an arsenal "Arsenal". It's probably located on the Street street). But there's no proof.
This wasn't that long ago. The people involved into this operation are likely still alive. But they aren't telling.

@nprofile…268n It's also terrible that several blue hellholes have laws on the book that everything captured by police must be destroyed. So a common scenario is for a thief to steal something from a collector, cops raid the thief, capture extremely valuable guys, often of a historic significance, and destroy them. New York is one such place. Gas is too kind for legislators who came up with these laws.
