I took my Nokia #N900 from the drawer and put latest #Maemo #Leste on sdcard. It has some quirks to overcome at start, but it works quite fine. I've bought a new replacement battery, so it now keeps running for a long time.
I installed wireguard on it and can use SSH to log in to my devices. The dillo browser is not able to render websites correctly, but also it's amazing when it shows only relevant parts and cuts all the crap. Email is timeless, so it just works. Syncevolution is unfortunately currently broken (can't install; broken dependencies).
A real pocket computer. It has aged like a fine wine :blobmiou:

Ackchyually
Not everything is a file. Network interfaces for example are not available as files. They are configured by sending packets to a special communication domain (like talking over network with the kernel itself). See also man 7 rtnetlink.

Age verification is punishing the victim and only delaying the harm. The algorithms designed to exploit engagement are the problem.

Is there a #linux distro, that is easy for "normal" people (like mint), comes with multimedia codecs (like mint), but uses #KDE by default?

I got so spoiled by Rust, that anytime I have to touch some Python code, my brain constantly repeats "this would be so much easier in Rust" and I'm super annoyed.

I don't like ladybird for a simple fact, that it's written in C++. It's plain and simple NIH syndrome. It's new and shiny, because it's new. Chrome also was new and shiny at some point.
Servo on the other hand is written in Rust, which I think is the best tool for the job right now.

lxappearance: https://build.opensuse.org/projects/openSUSE:Factory/packages/lxappearance/files/lxappearance.spec?expand=1
Recommends: %{name}-obconf
lxappearance-obconf: https://build.opensuse.org/projects/openSUSE:Factory/packages/lxappearance-obconf/files/lxappearance-obconf.spec?expand=1
Requires: openbox
It's not a hard dependency, just a recommendation. But I agree it shouldn't be recommended.
