I love the one with the birds in flight. Great shot!

Someone put together a solid looking website with tutorials on Darktable, the free open-source photo editing software!
https://darktable.info/en/welcome-to-the-modern-darkroom/
Personally, I find guides like this a lot more useful than videos.

This series might get me to sign up for Nebula (which I've been thinking about for a while). The parts of your videos I like the most are just seeing how things function and what life is like in other countries.

At the moment I don't think Bluesky is even living up to it's credible exit claim. Blacksky is held up as evidence of Bluesky's "decentralization" and yet someone on Blacksky got globally suspended from the network by being banned by bsky.app

I don't see how Amorim could stay after this. I don't know if it'll be tomorrow but it's done for him at United.
I was genuinely hoping it would work out with him. He seems like a decent coach.

A lot of the big tech companies way over hired for sure.
I am also pretty skeptical of the benefits of LLMs long term on organizations and productivity.
They can be useful sometimes, but in my experience they're nowhere near being able to replace an actual engineer.

I sent him this post and it turns out it's actually called Atlanta Coalition Ensemble but some of their members are also in Black Sheep Ensemble.

Estimates of over 30,000 people people at the rally at the Georgia State Capitol today

The GA State MARTA station was packed when we left the rally at the capitol. A lot of people riding who were obviously not used to it.
A guy played the ukulele and got the whole train to sing "This Land is My Land".

People are starting to see the value of an independent network that's free from billionaires. The Twitter takeover might have seemed an isolated incident before, but now it's clear that billionaire owned social media can't be depended on.

The whole argument behind why these things were going to be supposedly safer than humans was that they would have to follow all the rules. Now they're just like human drivers but worse

Finally finished reading The Wheel of Time series. I started reading over a decade ago but couldn't stick through. I started a re-read from the beginning after the second season of the show came out.
I finished yesterday but I still feel like I'm decompressing from the last battle. The end was long, but at the same time too short.
I feel relieved to be through it, accomplished, but also sad that there won't be any more Wheel of Time. Maybe the show can help fill that void...either that or I start another re-read 🤓

I remember Elon's PAC also setup a fake voter registration site that asked for your state. If you were in a non swing state it redirected you to the official voter registration page. If you were in a swing state it redirected you to a form that asked only asked for your name and address
I'm very hesitant to get swept up in conspiracy theories but this is starting to look a bit sketchy...
I still haven't seen a source for the bullet ballot claims

Honestly though I don't think Mastodon gets enough credit for some features like link verification and crediting journalists.

Users on BlueSky requesting Mastodon features? Never thought I'd see the day!

Sorry but if your conscience conflicted with providing health care to women then don't work at a fucking hospital. I really don't give a shit if you're a nun and don't believe in abortions.

Me and my 5yo son in a parking lot while I'm loading some groceries
Him: Hey Dad, that car looks weird. Hey dad. Dad! Look at that car. Dad! That car looks weird.
Me: huh?
I look up to see the car and start laughing.
Me: you're right it does look weird.
It was a cybertruck 😂😂

Caught an owl up on a tree yesterday afternoon in my backyard!
Not a great photo cause it's maximum zoom from my phone camera through a window

I wonder how you think this compares to the OXO Brew 8 cup model. I'm not really thinking of getting a new one, I'm curious since that's what I have
