Our new progressive web app is live! 🧡
It replaces our old web app today, and our mobile apps soon (with native Android & iOS builds).
It's leaps and bounds beyond our current apps!
What's new?
It's the full mobile experience in your browser, plus features the old web app never had:
• TBC Credit / USD balance top-ups
• MCP server credential management
• Lightning auto-withdrawal management
• Gift card labels 🏷️
• Dark mode 🌙 — finally
Our rewards model is changing!
Sats-back on gift card purchases are being replaced with upfront discounts. Your discount now hits the purchase price right away. No waiting, no tracking, no maths.
Your rewards aren't going anywhere either:
• Referral rewards -> unchanged
• Existing rewards -> still spendable on cards or withdrawable anytime.
The discount model is PWA-first, and fully replaces sats-back once the old mobile apps retire.
What's next?
• Stablecoin payments -> we're replacing our temporary Boltz Exchange integration with an improved direct stablecoin payment system.
• New login methods and a no-login option -> NOSTR Auth is coming next, and soon after you'll be able to browse and purchase gift cards without an account at all!
• New purchasing channels -> Nostr, Telegram, and WhatsApp purchasing bots are coming soon too!

Hey Neo! Once we launch our exchange and remittance products we'll be adding more payment options to the gift card app - ecash is one of the few we're considering :)

Swaps will likely be released towards the middle of the year, after we launch our direct-to-customer exchange and remittance UI :)

No, the limits set in the app are all without KYC. If you need to spend more than that per card or per day, then contact us at support@thebitcoincompany.com
If you're using our Visa cards for the first time please read our checkout terms for helpful info, and start with low value test purchases in case they don't work reliably for your use case.

Hi Maria
We never received your latest email saying you did not have the LN Invoice you paid, otherwise we would have replied. In our records we replied to you on August 18 and then did not hear back.
Sending us just a payment hash and secret (which was your initial email) was not enough for us to track this down, which we did explain in the email and requested other data points you could provide us instead (LN Invoice, exact sats amount, of order reference ID).
We know for sure our email service is working, so we aren't sure why we're not receiving some of your emails.
Nevertheless, we can see you've provided the reference ID in the email you screenshotted here - this is enough for us to track that order down. We have found that order now, and it was purchase on a second account you had (which we also mentioned in our email) - this is why it didn't appear for you at first. You are checking the wrong account. The account it was ordered on has the username 0210e1d9c4ffc52 (likely another LNAuth account by the looks of it).
If you log into your second account (username 0210e1d9c4ffc52) you will find the card details there. It has actually been there all along. If for some reason you cannot access that account anymore, then we can provide the claim link and challenge token for that card via Nostr DM here - just let us know.
We appreciate your adversarial thinking, but we haven't built our reputation by stealing customer funds or ghosting support tickets. This genuinely is a misunderstanding related to not receiving what looks like your latest few emails, as well as you using multiple accounts. If that ever happens in future you can always reach out via our Nostr, Telegram, or X account.

This does not sound remotely familiar. Reach out to us at support@thebitcoincompany.com and we'll get to the bottom of it. We always make good on orders and always reply to support tickets within 24 hours.

Our prepaid Visa cards are still available in that case and they require almost none of what you mentioned.
There are no perfect solutions, only trade-offs. These cards offer greater reliability and more country/currency support than our Visa cards, but to offer those improvements they require additional verification steps.
If they don't fit your use case, then we understand completely.

2024-07-16 00:08:01 UTC

Our new prepaid Mastercards are here!
Use bitcoin to buy cards up to $500, loaded with USD, EUR, or CAD!
🇺🇸 USD Domestic & International cards are available now.
🇪🇺 EUR & 🇨🇦 CAD cards will be here mid-August!
Find them on our web app or after updating the mobile app!
What's the bene https://image.nostr.build/db99518551678a9f85dd5bd4eeb7e8e4d550e52c84563de74b04033936cc4d5f.jpg fit of these new cards?
1. Less forex fees (ie, none when spending in the card's native currency; otherwise a 2% flat fee).
2. More reliable in the EU (with the 3DS EUR card).
3. More options where you can spend, as some merchants accept Mastercard over Visa.
Reach out with any questions, and be sure to read our checkout terms for each card as they're loaded with important info!
Not all of these cards function the same, so be sure to read before buying.

Hey - sorry for the delayed reply! Be sure to reach out to support@thebitcoincompany.com if you have queries or support requests.
We cannot cancel and refund a prepaid Visa once it's issued, which is why we recommend starting with a low value ($10) test card before scaling your purchases up.
Contact our support so we can troubleshoot with you, as we can likely find a merchant near you that'll accept the card.

Not sure why that would be, as they are no longer displaying here. Maybe clear cache + refresh page. Although if you paid the invoice then hit us up at support as we can refund any cards that don't arrive.
