I'm wondering thing, just like with Mikrotik routers.
Is it possible to create routers/switches by integrating bridges into a generic device (like a custom router)? We could then connect multiple bridges to it.
That would allow us to create a list of devices that closely resemble our peripherals. See you the idea ?
It isn't necessarily required to do this via the UI; it can be done using JSON files

In the case of the home router, why not allow DHCP clients on the WAN interface ?
I think we could define options for each interface.
First, display the list of interfaces in rows instead of columns, which would allow us to offer options (see screenshot).
Additionally, using the right-click menu, this would allow us to create new router or switch profiles.

In design mode with laptop object, what is the "DHCP server setup" button for? It doesn't seem to do anything.

In the simulation mode (packet detail section), can you add the Ethernet port number/name where the traffic incoming (input or output)

Here are my first impressions after trying it:
* In the connection properties, would it be possible to label the two endpoints (e.g. This device and Remote device) ?
* Could you add a dedicated VLAN tab to define VLAN IDs and assign meaningful names to them ?
* In the ports list, could the connected device names use the full available width ? Long names are currently truncated, making them harder to read.
Good jobs 💪

Thanks for sharing this project! It looks really promising.
I'm going to try using it to model the network for my #NixOS homelab project and see how well it fits that use case. I'll be sure to share my feedback once I've had a chance to test it.
Really appreciate the work you've put into making networking more accessible for learning.
