I’m quite happy with our rollout of uBlock Origin (and later uBlock Origin Lite) after you posted about it. I haven’t had a single call for one of those full screen pop up scams since

I doubt this is the original audio; I’ve heard the same one used in a video of a thermal camera on an overloaded wire in a breaker panel

I also dislike how the snap package is just broken when it comes to in-game voice chat. There’s a separate command to run to connect the Steam package to… whatever it needs for mic access. But it should be done automatically, or have some kind of prompt. I had to dig around in forums for a game I’ve never heard of before to figure out why nobody could hear me in REPO.

Tired and floofy :floofTired:

2025-04-20 16:32:41 UTC

Thinking about how my parents used to be obsessed with Little House on the Prairie and not doing any work on Sunday.
And now I’m here like “*I* am the gay the Lord has made, and I’m gonna be so fucking gay and floofy today.” :blobfoxfloof:

Use it in a sentence?
“I forgot to wash the air fryer earlier and now I can’t make Hot Pockets, sad awoo.”

2025-03-11 22:24:02 UTC

“Sad awoo” has become a part of my internal monologue, and if I’m not careful I might accidentally say it out loud at work one day lol. :vlpn_say_nervous:

Using the *work WiFi*, too :vlpn_uwu:

Ah yes, the 3pm slump :neofox_flop:

My Google Home speaker keeps refusing to answer simple questions, and I'm just about ready to throw it out.

2024-11-19 23:00:33 UTC

Wow, fedi feels *busy* today. Make sure you're all drinking water and taking your meds.

absolutely not, my spare laptop is hosting *critical* infrastructure!

2024-11-19 01:59:40 UTC

Ah shit, I forgot to put the garbage bin out.
I just took a shower and put pajamas on. And it's raining outside.
I'll put the bin out next week. :blobfoxcomfyglare:

2024-11-18 22:35:07 UTC

It's raining, and my coworker just used his laptop as an umbrella to get across the parking lot. What an absolute madlad.

we have a remote worker on our team that came in multiple days last month for in-person meetings, all of which were cancelled while they were on the way in. Such a waste of time.

Lenovo's mini ethernet port is an interesting design choice, especially on laptops that already have 2 USB-C ports. Why not just give it another USB-C?

2024-11-07 22:59:44 UTC

Wow, I'm really not getting anything done this week.

2024-11-04 15:18:06 UTC

Hmm, time to step up my filter game I think...

2024-10-23 04:12:15 UTC

Oh, look at that. A new record.
(I use Mastodon as a PWA, so it all gets counted as Firefox.)

2024-10-10 03:49:49 UTC

Found some time to just sit and think today. It was nice. I should create more pockets of time like that.

Rare moment when I walk past a mirror and don't completely hate my reflection (I just got a haircut)

2024-09-23 04:17:58 UTC

I've had a pit in my stomach for almost a week now and I can't tell if I'm sick or if it's just a physical manifestation of my poor mental state.

2024-09-17 15:49:26 UTC

Staying busy is my coping mechanism. It distracts me from my feelings.

OBS always served me well. I set up a hotkey to toggle recording so it would mostly stay out of the way.
In college, we used Screencast-O-Matic (now ScreenPal). It was pretty basic and worked well enough, although I think it limits recording length for free users.

oh, it syncs the script! I thought it was an A/V sync for if you use a separate mic. That makes much more sense.

haha, the monotone delivery is giving me TTS vibes. "This is an example of speech synthesis in the Jay voice."
Edit: monotone isn't the right word, I'm not sure how to describe it. :blobfoxlaughsweat:
