Well you are right there.
The people are changing the consensus because the people are the consensus not core.
Nobody is forced to use core. No one is forced to use knots. The people now have a way to vote against core's behavior over the past years and I think everyone will be surprised how many moral people just want Bitcoin to be money.

Thanks I've read all the literature and I've made my decision. Just like you have. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind. I'm just stating for the record clearly that what the core team did with v30 has caused me to lose all trust in their decision making capabilities.

I run multiple full nodes. All knots now. But I don't want to prune. I just want a spam free node. And while we can't stop it all we can at least try to fix what was very recently broken. Why does everyone think people who don't want to deal with this have to adjust. Core 30 forced this issue and they are not Bitcoin. They are people who make a client that people trusted and we don't. It's really that simple.
I DON'T TRUST CORE. perhaps that should be the social Media campaign. But something has to be done to wake people up to what is actually going on as we were running up to 120k and people were predicting $1M Bitcoin while the core team was actively turning Bitcoin into the new home of the nft bullshit we all laughed at. None of that was even possible before all the changes that bip110 is trying to address.
But when people are trying to say that @npub1s33…252p is a bad actor in all this I am just flabbergasted. Utterly flabbergasted. There is nothing that can be said to me that ordinals and inscriptions and large op returns make Bitcoin better money than fiat. In fact everything core has done over the last 2 years has been nothing but fiat.
this is not a technical debate anymore this a moral debate. And my morals are not up for debate.

No one is freaking out. From their behavior over the past couple of years, Core has lost the "mandate of heaven". People see problems and people are trying to fix them. That is what Bitcoin is about. And as I said I don't want large op returns or inscriptions or ordinals or any of that on my monetary network. Bitcoin is money not a database for scammers. And I am willing to bet that once most people have all the facts of the case, they will come to the same conclusion. how can you explain only 15% adoption of core 30 according to clark moody dashboard.
My guess is that people are slowly educating themselves to what has been going on for the past couple of years. I know I have slowly been watching this all play out and have been very disappointed in the lack of education certain people in the community have been doing. @npub1s33…252p has been one of the few people who has been consistently trying to educate people to the whole picture of what has been going on. Bip110 is over 2 years in the making as the core to rejected the concerns of the community and took a "we know best" approach. That is not Bitcoin. That is "trust me bro" that is fiat. We are all free to do what we want. They were free to push core 30 against objections. We are free to react. Core doesn't own the network. The miners dont own the network. the people own the network. I stand with the network of people who don't want anyone to force anything on them especially files of arbitrary sizes that I am now hosting on my own hardware.
If it is the block size war again all over so be it. We're going to have to have to keep fighting this fight until people understand. That nobody is in charge. Ever. We all have to make a moral judgement of which side of the fence we stand on at some point. I posted what I posted as a way to remind myself and my family what I stood for.
Divide and conquer is the favorite tool of empire. And I find it all to convenient that they pushed core 30 when they did. We are all fighting now when Bitcoin worked perfectly without large op returns and ordinals and inscriptions. Why is it freaking out to want Bitcoin as it was before all that it has brought nothing to the space besides scammers and stuff amongst the community.

We have to take a stand somewhere. Now they are talking about what to do. I am open to all suggestions but doing nothing is not an option. The chain is already polluted with spam and the spammers seems to be closely tied to core.

Love the optimism about Nostr's future! 🧡
You're spot on about those "half finished and/or abandoned" projects. But I think the biggest factor isn't just human messiness—it's the lack of sustainable business models for devs and creators.
Most devs can't work for free indefinitely. Without clear paths to monetization (zaps, subscriptions, grants, etc.), even passionate builders eventually need projects that pay the bills. Economic reality, not character flaws.
The "for the people, by the people" ethos is beautiful, but if we want Nostr to truly thrive long-term, we need to solve the sustainability puzzle: How do talented developers building the tools we love actually make a living doing it? It can't all be reliant on the largess of @nprofile…nj96 or @nprofile…nj96 mallers
Some are experimenting with zaps and premium features, which is encouraging. But until we crack this systematically, we'll keep seeing promising starts → gradual abandonment.
The technical foundation is solid and improving. Now we need the economic foundation to match it.
