I liked it a lot agreed on Francis, the one early episode where he started talking about trains again and the person in the background crossed off the X days since Francis talked about trains. I busted out laughing

Congrats, so how before the main server moves away from Proxmox to Unraid 😂

There is a YouTuber I watch that a while back did a comparison of British vs American grocery prices, it insane how much more we tend to pay here in the US.

Seeing these Labrax keeps making me think of ditching my rather sparsely filled 19” rack for one these. I wish my Ubquiti Pro Max 16 would fit in one, it would be a no brainer then.

Curious what made you choose Astro over say Hugo or some of the other static generators?

There was a pretty nasty bug that affects Ghost v3.24.0 to v6.19.0, I upgraded mine but probably don’t have enough posts or visibility to be a problem. I however just helped my wife setup one and now am having serious second thoughts. Definitely going to switch myself to Hugo just not sure what to do with my wife’s site.

I am waiting for the updated AppleTV Swiftfin to drop to try it again. I installed it on my Mac Mini server and did at least get the library setup.

Had a curiosity question. I am pretty sure I am going to go the Lenovo Micro PC route, was also looking at HP's and Dell's too. You mentioned the price range you have seen for the M90q's, what processors do you typically see for that price range?

Ceph really needs scale to be worthwhile. If this in pursuit to your “home prod" HA setup goals you mentioned on the last episode of the Bitflip might be worth a look at Starwinds VSAN free version. I did mean to mention if you consider TrueNAS for storage remember your TrueNAS is not HA.

That is some impressive magic smoke. I have been wanting to switch to a Mini-PC of some kind for my proxmox host but the Minisforum, Beelink, GMKtec's of the world do scare me with lack of repairability compared to the Dell, HP or Lenovo MicroPC’s.

it’s tough to tell in the video what scaled resolution do you run at? No blurry text or weird fringing?

yep it has a A8 iPhone 6 era SOC, I find it hilarious it still outperforms a lot of built in smart tv platforms I have tried

It still amazes me I get tvOS updates for the AppleTV HD (1080p version) that I got when released in 2015.

I know the Ioniq 5 does vehicle to load, Technology Connections talked about it. I think this should be a requirement for EV’s.
It could also serve as a perfectly cromulent generator type replacement.

After my failed/death by a thousand paper cuts Mac Mini as my home server experiment. I took the opportunity to just reload my server with straight Ubuntu. For my occasional VM needs I just need to decide on straight libvirt or LXD/Incus.

What I find even more humourous is Proxmox just sitting a top of Debian, the incredulous nature of Docker “tainting” the host is just dumb.
I mean I would not run like this for a business but for home use, I really don’t get the big deal.

Quite strange, does not mirror my experience with my personal M1 MBA or work issued M1 Pro MBP. And my work laptop is full of corpo garbage ware too.
If you wanted to consider a Linux solution... Bluefin or Aurora, but when you are tied to FCP and Adobe makes it hard.

I can believe it, if I am being honest I question if I should have gotten the bigger rack I got that I posted to the self hosted discord. Now that my storage is on Synology I have been trying to make up my mind on getting a HP Elitedesk Mini, Lenovo M90q or Mac Mini to replace my tower that I know longer need or want.

100% my issue, the clients still kind of suck. But I am going to try again with Jellyfin with Infuse, that sadly won't help my external users since not everyone has AppleTV's and likely won't pay for Infuse if they did.
I have not seen the new Plex interface is it really that bad?
