That said - does anyone have a Speedqueen washing machine?
It's the one that has kept coming up recently and I can't tell if it's truly good or well SEO'd for the things I'm searching for.

We've had this one ... two years? And the lid is RUSTING.
So I figured I should shop now before it actually dies. I don't want to wait to do the research (and yes I'll also online research but thought I would ask the mutuals.)

Does anyone have a washing machine they love?
I didn't realize when the ancient one started spitting black oil on clothes that new could be so bad. Soak max 15min unless I trick it by opening & closing the lid at just the right time. Fill is at most half forcing me to do small loads.
Time wasted.

My brain operates in tags & categories & some weird things around those each having their own rss feeds.
(Plus clients … if they have access to change some minor text they don’t call in the middle of the night & scream at me which they used to do in 2002. But that’s me. Not your blog.)

It varies. I’m trying to move away from WP specifically but still some other CMS and SSGs could have the same problem IF you don’t use any form of caching or CDN. Add a cache & CDN & you speed up a lot of the load time problems for SEO.

2026-10-29 09:57:19 UTC

Complex categories and tags is where the database (or at least some form of CMS) is useful. Especially if you generate a pile of rss feeds & need to seo for a business.
Less necessary for many personal sites though (but I do appreciate an rss feed so I know when there’s new content.)

Rivers too ... the Kentucky or Ohio Rivers I've probably got some recent photos of but I don't think I have a boat in a single one of those photos.

This is very accurate.
I also live in a very landlocked state. We have lakes here but I tend to opt for the pool when weather is good because it's closer. Come to think of it, I'm not sure I've seen many boats on the lake that's closest to me so I would still have a boat photo fail there.

I’m going to have to either:
- take a photo or a printed photo I took
- or dig through files that are not on my camera roll
for a boat photo I took 🤔 (all boats on my camera roll seem to be screenshots)

I bring up both of these though as possible inspiration because they are some of the easiest to use interfaces for … bulk content / foldering? Visually.
Tag clouds are another way to think though. Tag the feeds with the topics of your choice?

Honestly I’m not 100% certain. I DO know that there are little visual things that will cause me to (or not to) use things sometimes.
Ex: I’ll use OneTab to temporarily clear some tabs but I won’t use Raindrop for that task because the OneTab presentation is better for me to do that type of sorting.

I really need a feeds foldering system and different UI for to use more than 10… and I have a tendency to max out the system on them.

It’s excellent with spreadsheets in general even if you don’t give it direct access to an account (uploading selective spreadsheets so I’m certain I’m not giving it info I don’t want it to have.)
It’s interesting what strengths each platform (not just model) seems to have.

I think we will be making some … salsa? With the pile of green tomatoes we just harvested.
Check the forecast for frost in your area because there’s a cold front coming through.

I always think I've bought a large enough internal hard drive & then I try to do some things quickly that just need that little bit more & I'm annoyed at myself.
It's not impossible to do but it's always extra time to reorg some things. Maybe I need to start using an external drive differently.

Just a reminder that if you're in a "private" group of 40 plus people, just because some of those people aren't talking doesn't mean they aren't there.
(Basically I am wondering if someone just got lightly Sherlocked by a lurker.)

I may need keyword muting for text messages soon.
The number of "your business surely needs funding!" spam messages seem to be increasing. For biz reasons I don't want to have all unknown go to spam.
Oh & a Texas pac seems to like spamming me too & I keep adding those to a block list.

Realizing someone’s business lacks basic systems before you send them pricing on a new project … might have dodged a bullet here but still disappointed. They want something unreasonable with “too many cooks” involved. Avoided key questions too. 🤷‍♀️

PS - the mechanical keyboards are however an experience in terms of touch typing. I managed to get an ok one for $20 from a brand that no longer exists (I actually think Proarc bought them out.)
(I really have a large collection of random keyboards thanks to 2020 virtual events.)

Even the soft ones I think have a fair bit of sound - at least in comparison to the low profile keyboards (though I'm also not a fan of the external mac keyboard because it has no backlighting.)

WHY did I have so many (phone) meetings today??? Like everyone went "holiday but not a real one so maybe this is how I use my time today...."
It's a good thing mostly because I think it moves some things forwards but I'm exhausted. 😴
