Nice! And a tenor!
Hope it was huge fun!
Are they really making a comeback right now or is it just that I'm hearing and seeing them now because I picked up playing one recently.

Today's music haul includes albums from @npub106j…rtp2 , Martin Simpson, Karine Polwart, Rain Perry, The Honey Badgers, Nina Gerber, @npub15jp…ljj3
So much good music out there -- and from right here!
There are still Mastodonians in my wishlist for when my CC cools off enough to hold.
I wish some of those folkies that aren't, were!

Going on a Bandcamp binge, to load my playlist of unconscious influences for my next album!

Write it... decide whether or how often to sing it later.

Where do you order your strings online?
Top two results I get are stringsandbeyond.com and stringsbymail.com
Gonna roll the dice I guess...

I still have to change the strings on the 12-string and the Lowden 6... That's a lot of fiddly work and tuning, and I'm not really looking forward to it.
Other times it's a nice crafty meditation. Maybe once I dig into it it'll swing that way if I have the space for it.

I get a 404 on that link, but was glad to find the rest of her catalog!

😮‍💨Kickstarter video is recorded. Only took like 10 takes. Turns out acting is hard. I'll go easier on those local ads where the owner does the old robotic script reading thing.
It needs only a little editing, which is good, cause my main computer is a Thinkpad T450 from about 10 years ago.

Soooo close to launching the Kickstarter for my album.
Just need to record and edit the intro video and submit for review.
Stoked!
Just added a limited $250 tier for a personal 5-song 1-take mix tape. Too cheap?
Edit: there are already two early benefactors eligible for it.

Folk art is still folk, right?
Drew this for my SIL, for the secret Santa.
Happy Solstice, all!

New instance, new introduction!
Hi friends! I'm a folkie currently from Minnesota, US.
I mostly write acoustic guitar-based verse-chorus folk songs, with the occasional dip into scored instrumental arrangements.
I also write these little multi-part songs that you might call "rounds that went to college" which grew out of a beautiful community-singing culture here in the US.
I'm also skipper of a small but mighty sailboat, on which I spend as much of my summers as possible.
Glad to meet you!
