Hashcash: costly to produce, easy to check
Adam Back proposed Hashcash to deter resource abuse, including spam: attach computational proof that takes work to produce but is easy to check. It was not yet a complete monetary system.
Bitcoin uses that asymmetry to order its history. Finding a valid result takes repeated attempts; checking it requires far less work. The point is not solving a secret equation, but demonstrating a costly search.

📊 Bitcoin: BTC Has Yet to Recover After the Correction
BTC/USDT | BINANCE | Daily
Analysis dated 2026-10-30
Following the price correction triggered by the hack involving funds on Binance, BTC has failed to reclaim previous levels...
BTC remains below the 20 EMA, with negative momentum accompanying the move and the RSI very close to oversold territory.
In my view, we need to see signs of weakening selling pressure before we can start considering a reversal...

₿ Electrum fixed a flaw that allowed BTC theft when users increased transaction fees
Malicious servers could replace pending payments with fake transactions that users would end up authorizing when trying to speed them up. Developers confirmed at least one theft and released Electrum 4.8.3 on October 24 to verify the signatures of those transactions.

📊 Bitcoin: BTC remains in a correction as the 80k support comes under pressure
BTC/USDT | Binance | Daily
Analysis dated 2026-10-26
BTC is still correcting and showing no buying strength…
The price remains below the 20 EMA, with negative momentum.
Time is running out for that 80k support; the price is gradually chipping away at it…
Remember, if it breaks to the downside, our target is 78-76k.
