Most use ngit as backend and relay.ngit.dev as git source which makes is not better than using github.

When clicking an app in the widget youre directed to the nostr apps card on gittr to check the WoT badge (is he even the real guy), check the repo, download an older release or a releases for another OS.
Oldschool centralized appstores are so fucked.

Gittr uses another backend btw, not ngit.
ngit is a git server + grasp relay. I separated both which let me not only pull in grasp related metadata right from the start for zaps, profilepage, WoT badge n all that jazz.
Important thing is whatever you use they all end up discoverable in all nostr clients :P

Well its another ones centralized server.
You can just import your Github/Gitea/Gitlab/Codeberg/Forgejo repo or assets like apps to gittr and push the info about their existance to nostr but the real deal is hosting the git yourself and announcing it to nostr so others can still find but not censor it. Unstoppable code. https://blossom.primal.net/e3600e5187d49f3b72e4900157a351ab28b7facf0a38b900565b507d0296d034.png

You can now check a repo against CVEs in the dependency tab.
Tick on Notifications, if you want to be notified that a new CVE is affecting your repos (created at or imported to gittr).

🤔 Added a reverse lookup to find clones on nostr git announcements for repos from github / codeberg / gitlab / gitea to enable you to DM them on nostr.
findReposBySource returns sourceurl, npub, repourl and profile url with more repos of that npub. You could also look for external identities announced for that one from there.
Hammer time!

Also Id love to see it rather being sort of a tipjar than a fixed faucet withdraw link, so that others can chime in on the bounty amount.. 😉 that would be great!

2026-07-26 07:52:23 UTC

I think you misunderstood the flow. You want to 1.make sure it has been really paid, 2. make sure the solution really IS a solution and that can only be said by the owner which you, yes trust here. If its helpful a withdraw-link is generated for the PR-Creator. In the below flow you risk paying non-solutions/bs, cashu or not doesnt mind.

Last thing i made is to allow announcements of nostr pages/apps right from the repo page and an MCP for those that use agents, maybe thats also smth youd like.

2026-07-19 07:53:54 UTC

gittr.space now lets you announce your app to nostr app clients like gittr.space/apps.
If a zapstore file is found in the repo root it will also send a confirmation request to show up especially there. Fuck you Apple appstore and fuck you too Google play store. https://blossom.primal.net/2e003f55e0d6291196d714b696fa5b9aed8d3898e8923e9bd5832792f190b5e6.jpg

Yes, thats what i am saying. Its about discoverability for me.
See nothing wrong in PRing changes so its up to date. Lost and left repos are a problem when ppl want to contribute.

Issues and PRs (kinds 9803/9804) are automatically published to nostr on handled status changes (merged, closed and reopened).
I fetch them from source if possible on import of the repo and try to aggregate those by their timestamps with the nostr kinds.
If source is lets say Github im not upstreaming the edits additionally there so far.
Anyway still needs polish in finding these kinds better and flows are surely not the endgame, but what i went with so far 🤓

Jo, I include https://git.gittr.space/... as the primary clone tag on push by a new endpoint to the bridge so theres a guaranteed HTTPS source while it’s processing. Once other relays pick up the NIP‑34 event, the nostr:// URLs are broadcasted and should work. http://gittr.space/help#git-operations

This one runs locally with the llamas and phi3 and favors your own knowledge links above the often outdated bs.
especially with the smaller models that brings better results.
But you cant stand a chance against the enterprise big models that self enhance at runtime 😅
