The whole universe is based on inefficiency. It allows ecosystems to thrive and it builds resilience. Start optimising and past some point (actually quite early in the process) you are sacrificing resilience. Pushing for extremely efficient systems is wrong architecture move. Resiliency of the ecosystem is much more important than efficiency of any part of the system.
It translates to digital world as well. Have you noticed how many non-essential services are integrated to operating systems? It is definitely more efficient to have a fitness app included in the os, but over time you lose the whole ecosystem of third party fitness apps.
It’s the same as the state. Every service provided by the state (in the name of efficiency) become monopoly over time. And when it stops providing services (and it sure will), it leaves void and barren land. There is nothing to step up.
It is good to identify waste, but even lean meat needs fat to be fully digestible.

No, more right leaning channels are limited, because expressing left leaning views is deemed more acceptable.

Not with web browsers. I still don’t agree that it was more intense. It certainly FELT more intense, but I believe that the covert version we have now is actually harder. It’s no longer about deplatforming, but about limiting reach very aggressively, so most of even slightly controversial accounts are effectively talking to a wall.

Exactly. I keep my old X account and I sometimes look what’s the latest psyop. I strictly just look, never interact, no likes, no replies, no nothing. It is interesting to watch what the algorithm tries to show me without any meaningful feedback apart from scrolling the timeline and lingering on some posts (I even don’t click on videos to play). It’s still looking like shaping the current narratives and the “bubbling” (emphasising one’s bubbles) is very pronounced. We might not get overt bans now, but shadowbanning and timeline shaping is much more sophisticated, and - because mostly covert - more dangerous then during covid. I’m not on Facebook for years and I have never used any other social networks in any meaningful way, but even on Twitter it’s very clear.

No, it was not worse. It was only more obvious, nowadays it’s actually worse, because it seems on the outside that it’s not going on, plus many interesting people just left.

And it’s definitely getting better in younger generations. Like people under 25 now? About 1/10 visibly overweight. It’s really nice to see.

It does not work in Primal for me 🤷‍♀️

Sooooo, the DM feature I see in clients, it’s there just to fill screen space, right? Or is it actually working?

Yes, but one good aimed moderately sized asteroid could put a quick end to it. For a long-term preservation of humanity, it would be probably beneficial to colonise other celestial bodies. More baskets for eggs.
