hey do you happen to know what people call this thing? we've gotten the impression you use fixed point lots in your uxn stuff

anyone know if there's a common term for what we've been thinking of as the "basis" or "scale" of fixed-point arithmetic? that being the value which you treat as one (1) in a particular context.
for instance, if your basis is 6, then you can represent a third with the literal value 2, since 2/6 is a third, or a half with the literal value 3, since 3/6 is a half. or you can represent 1.5 with 9, since that's 9/6.
(we like to pick bases that have many prime factors. like if you pick 64 then you can only exactly represent fractions of powers of 2. but if you pick something like 120 you have [a lot more things that you can divide exactly by](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highly_composite_number ))

are the keyboard inputs here like, what you'd type into a repl to do the same calculations? it looks like that :o

:o is this one of those surfaces that can be used to model hyperbolic geometry?

is [this](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/barry-jay-personal/tree-calculus/master/tree_book.pdf ) the book mentioned in the alt text? :o it seems interesting
also fyi i think a lot of the people who especially benefit from alt texts won't get much from the one here! the drawing has cute little characters and talk bubbles but the alt text just says that it's a drawing, which won't really help people who can't directly see that already 🐱

challenge complete 🐱😎😺
stack swapping using two registers to temporarily store values. changed some stuff so that the buttons wouldn't directly start their actions, instead starting them through a layer of indirection.
this is why there are briefly two cute animals appearing on top of the buttons when clicking them; those are used at the very start of their respective operations (and also to distinguish between different steps within the same operation; later steps only have one animal)
swapping basically does this:<li>pop</li><li>move arg to A</li><li>pop</li><li>move arg to B</li><li>move A to arg</li><li>push</li><li>move B to arg</li><li>push</li>

a stack of bits in [tote](https://wiki.xxiivv.com/site/tote.html ), using an encoding described [here](https://wiki.xxiivv.com/site/fractran.html ):
> Pushing a 0 onto the stack is equivalent to doubling the number.
> Pushing a 1 is equivalent to doubling and adding 1.
> Popping is equivalent to dividing by 2, where the remainder is the number.
@npub1z8r…mrq6 hi! we havent talked with you before but we made a cool thing using tools & resources you made :D
