* Started his #Fediverse adventure on #Lemmy. First on lemmy.ml but now (after having been on beehaw.org for a while) on lemmings.world.
* Regards the Fediverse a good "space" in which to try out micro-blogging again, after having left Twitter years ago (way before current affairs).
* Started his #Firefish adventure on firefish.social, when it was still calckey.social. The Post-rebranding server mishaps made him move to fedia.social (which eventually changed into an #Iceshrimp instance).
* Interested in: #computers, #FLOSS, #Linux, #science, #reading, listening to #music, drinking a bit too much #coffee.
#History and the #Humanities should be on the list as well but seem to have taken a back seat.
* Lives in the #Netherlands.
* Posts, replies and boosts (mostly) in #English and #Dutch.
* Born in the mid-80s.
* #Bicycle #commuter.

My current banner is a cropped version of a wallpaper I found on Reddit years ago. Unfortunately I no longer have any idea to whom I should attribute it.

Profile picture:
Selfie of me sitting at a window with a light grey curtain, partially blocking the incoming daylight to prevent overexposure to the photograph. I am wearing my glasses and have my head slightly tilted while I am smiling with my front teeth bared.

Banner image:
A manipulated photograph of a magpie with the head of an orca that has opened its mouth fairly wide. Its wings are still folded alongside the body in a way actual birds would do when they sit on e.g. a fence post or branch.
