because the billionaires haven’t left their accounts exposed on the internet with trivial passwords? This one really wasn’t very demanding.

Every time I start feeling that my scepticism of LLM bollocks might be swamped by the tsunami of propaganda I remember that people believe in religions and gods too.
We are so fucking gullible as a species.

it is actually that bad?
The chatter I've seen has been mostly on Meta platforms and has the form of LLM generated anti-EU propaganda so I wasn't sure.

slightly different in that the drift away from economic reality on the Anglo world has been more self-delusional (though that may be true of the Zionists too): propaganda works and the people who spend most time listening to it are those who spread it. They end up believing it.
Thatcherism, austerity, and Brexit all required self-delusion and it’s been snow balling. Which is one of the reasons Labour are screwed: they’re Very Serious and trapped within the Very Serious delusions.

what he doesn’t say — can’t, probably — is that this is the point of a lot of Zionist propaganda over the last couple of decades at least. They want us to conflate Zionism and Zionist run Israel with Judaism as a shield against criticism. It’s been internalised by a lot of the Very Serious left and centre in a lot of countries.
A lot of anti-Jewish violence is stochastic terrorism stoked by Zionists.

that wasn’t a referendum, it was a badly run opinion poll.
Have a look at what questions are put in Irish referendums — specific decisions on changes to the constitution. Not general aspirations that can be twisted.

I maintain that Thatcher used the proceeds of EU membership and North Sea oil to mask that she was starting to concentrate money and power back into the hands of the rich. The start of the counter revolution.
Most of her successors don’t understand that at all: they believe it was her announced principles wot did it.

the first thing you need is a way to stop people just taking your stuff. There’s no market without that.

see his comments about three capitalists meeting being a conspiracy.
We could have chosen to distribute the gains from globalisation (or the EU or North Sea oil or new technologies) fairly. We chose not to and zero sum thinking was deployed to justify that. It’s a lot easier to understand than the network effects involved in positive sum thinking.

absolutely. A friend of mine says that losing the distinction in the media between political economists, who are intent on justifying a predetermined outcome, and scientific economists who are interested in studying how economies work, has done a lot of damage.
I’ve also seen people who straddle the two complain that the scientific ones don’t speak up when their research is abused.

British (English?) politics has been increasingly unmoored from reality for a century now.
Denial of the loss of empire and power, the whole Thatcherite pretence that the benefits of joining the EU and North Sea oil were down to privatisation. Her heirs cultish adherence to austerity, which requires scapegoats to blame and distract. I don’t think there’s more than a handful of MPs or journalists left with any idea what’s really going on or how things actually work.

accountancy practice reviews and other paperwork ask about "high risk" clients - cash business skirting along the edge of legality falls into that category, I imagine, even before you chunk the general stigma into the mix. Same as politicians and celebrities.
Maybe not, but I'd be surprised.

I'm convinced they're all in a race to destroy anything good left about the UK. Fuck knows there isn't much for them to do now.
I don't know why though. It's not just selfishness or asset stripping, half the time there's no money to be made.
Maybe they're just so shrivelled inside after doing what you have to do to get power these says that they destroy anything good out of resentment.

public transport can’t be effectively run as a profit centre because most of the economic benefits don’t accrue to the passengers, they’re external.
I’ve read that the only tube line that ever made a profit was the Metropolitan, and only because they were the only ones allowed do property development along the lines they built so they could hoover up some of the external benefits.
