There's a possible solution: get out of Meta.
I don't know how far censorship must go to make accounts vanish from Big Tech platforms.
The status quo is a hard-to-beat beast. People don't have the courage anymore to go against it.

@nprofile…xkhf I remember when I was in middle school and high school, I would go to the local library, ask the librarian for all the volumes on a given topic and then accurately browse them to summarize the relevant information to put in my school essay/presentation.
Recently I tried to do that with my kid, to show him how we did that before Wikipedia.
It wasn't possible. The local library doesn't have many knowledge books anymore.

Starting from last week, we've applied anti-UV films to most of our windows.
At the 2nd floor and it's attic storage, the difference is immediately felt. We haven't yet had high temperatures (>30°C) since installing them, but the sun doesn't heat anymore like before.
So, with a low budget of 300 € for the whole house, we've certainly gained -5 or -6°C.
Next I think we will install ceiling fans.

L'elettrico comporta vantaggi fiscali.
https://studiolegalelavorospoltore.it/automobili/elettrica/deducibilita-auto-elettrica-aziendale/

2026-05-05 08:14:30 UTC

Following the geodesic line, it makes more sense to pick the route Amsterdam-Brussels, then Lille-Bordeaux (there's one train at 6 am). Once in Bordeaux, regional trains (TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine) can reach Hendaye. Once there the Eusko Tren connects Hendaye to San Sebastian in 30' and from San Sebastian there are direct trains to Madrid.

France is the only EU country that has kept a sovereign payment card system similar to #Mastercard and #Visa. It's called #CB and it's supported, together with either one of the other two American systems, in most of French credit cards.
A few months ago #Apple decided to prioritize CB payments in Apple Pay. And now #Samsung Pay is doing the same for accounts hosted at La Banque Postale.
https://www.mobigeeks.fr/paiement-mobile-samsung-pay-active-le-reseau-cb-avec-la-banque-postale-pour-renforcer-lalternative-a-visa-et-mastercard/
I hope this gets way bigger and ends up hurting US financial system.

This is a beautiful and powerful song. I figured many US musicians would express their political opposition through music but The Boss is the only one who had the courage to do such thing so far.

Apart from #Polish, in the top 4 we see 3 neo-#Latin languages. This isn't so surprising imho. Latin is highly logical after all.
"The top 10 most effective languages for conversational AI were as follows:
- Polish 88%
- French 87%
- Italian 86%
- Spanish 85%
- Russian 84%
- English 83.9%
- Ukrainian 83.5%
- Portuguese 82%
- German 81%
- Dutch 80%

Why, I mean why why why do we need an app to show the ticket to Ed Sheeran's concert???
Why can't I just get the pdf instead of installing the app, create an account there and import the ticket from my online account?
Sometimes I wonder what the world is becoming. And yes, I feel like a proud boomer who regrets the old days of tech. Just send me the damned pdf!!!!

Week 24, run 3/3🏃‍♀️
I finally did it! 21,1 km and the last 2 were hard 💪🔥.
I kept telling myself that I can't lose face after all the encouraging toots from this amazing community and I won't be as lucky as today with the weather as summer approaches.
So I didn't give up. Slow and steady.
There was a race at the other side of the river, I saw a finish sign and I took it as a good omen at the beginning of my run.

I saw some weird floating equipment in the river, maybe water tchoukball goal posts?
This should be my last week of training. I'll take it easy on Friday with a short run and then attempt the 21.1 km distance in Sunday.
I'm 100% zen about it and if I can't make it, I will try the week after and the one after that. My main point has always been exercising for health's sake, not chasing particular numbers.

Today I ran along #bicipolitana n.3, 8 and 9. I came to a field track and did two loops of the external park alley.
The whole route wasn't flat, there were a couple of underpasses and bridges, but I didn't have to cross the road even once.
It was a very needed physical movement after yesterday's dinner with so much delicious food inside my belly 😋

@nprofile…lwgl yep, sadly many Italians lost their sense of humour in favour of increased sensitivity.
Anyway #TommyCash has been invited to several Italian TV shows. It's a love/hate situationship, if you ask me.
There are videos online about seniors dancing #EspressoMacchiato and many reels about customers singing it to bartenders to order coffee ☕😂.

Too hot 🥵! The session was supposed to be 1h55m, but I couldn't run for more than 1h07m.
It was already 24°C when I went out. And under the sun heat I lost all motivation and decided to stop. I walked back home for 6 km.
Then I went for a bike ride in the afternoon with my son. We saw a children art exposition and did some juggling. While attempting to pass the club under the leg I ripped my pants 🤣😶‍🌫️.

It's hot these days. Yesterday the thermometer went up to 30°C and when I went out this morning it was already 23°C. I tried to stick to shadowed park alleys, but at some point I took a bridge I usually never cross and I ended up with 2-3 kilometres under the sun towards the end.

Today just a light sporadic discomfort on both knees and my right calf wasn't tight at all.
I am more relaxed now and I believe to have overcome the most difficult phase in transitioning to forefoot strike.
For the past 3 weeks outside walking has been with #minimalistShoes only. I can already notice improved toes mobility (the main point), but I will talk about the #Xero shoes later in a dedicated thread.
