In my special case, my money is already made, so there is no income to tax. In a general case, that is fine also because of the optionality provided by the passport: the naturalization process only obligates one to remain in Argentina for the majority of two calendar years (though my lawyer has advised three so I can also make a bid for permanent residency).

Ease of naturalization is at the top since that will grant indefinite leave to remain in other countries such as Chile, and visa-free access to China. Other considerations are its position as a net exporter of energy (both hydrocarbons and agriculture), decent proficiency in English (highest in Latin America), and climate (I perfer cold weather so I can stay in the south).

I plan to move there too. There are some affairs here that will take about a year to put in order, but otherwise, there is no reason for me to remain in the United States.
