Dottie, my pixel art app for macOS is OUT NOW!
After about one year of development (on and off) it's time to set it free.
Whilst the price is not quite free it is ON SALE for the launch period…along with most of my other apps!

I now prevent interruptions from other apps tracking the pasteboard, and I've made the target language selector better behaved so all language pairs can be picked. がんばれ！

The overarching concept for my shmup game: everything is based on Water and its various states: liquid, ice, steam & the interplay with hot and cold bullets & the viscosity of water slowing versus air. feels good! #aquaplane

Last week I was reminded of the word "shithead" to describe a certain type of person, and it really made me chuckle. I'll try to add it back into my working vocabulary. There's no shortage of opportunity that's for sure

Noticed my 5-star solid gold movie-of-the-year is now streaming on Apple TV and Amazon Movies.
It's a 3 hour subtitled French period drama, but I was perched on the edge of my seat for the duration. Loved it.

terrifying. interestingly nothing gets deleted when you (or in this case: they) delete an account. They just mark the userid as "unused". Signing up with the same email address relinks your uploads. Really they should relink everything including the old username. They seem typically reluctant to go the whole way on this but I'll keep pressing

so this is a larger issue that isn't being talked about. Many users effectively had their accounts removed thanks to a "glitch". Logging back in with the same email address links your old uploads to a new account. But the old username, favourites, web archives, ...all gone.

Recently, for unknown reasons, and against common accepted knowledge that usernames cannot be changed at @npub1umd…wfr7 ...my username has been changed ...from gingerbeardman (since I joined in 2015) to matt_sephton, which is somewhat concerning as it has broken many old links.
