This is a big one! ‼️
One of the arguments we hear against Bitcoins security is the threat of quantum computers. And we must give it to them, it is one of the strongest arguments.
However, the people contributing to the security of Bitcoin are cypherpunks. Do not undermine the cypherpunks.
These are the people who have always been at the forefront of online privacy. The movement stems from a deeply libertarian philosophy, rooted in principles of decentralization, individual autonomy, and freedom from centralized authority.
In this years BTCHEL we'll cover this topic with: @nprofile…9k65 , the OG cypherpunk who invented Hashcash which is directly used in Bitcoin mining.
Hunter Beast , a Rust and Bitcoin developer best known as the primary author of BIP 360, a major proposal designed to protect Bitcoin against future quantum computing security risks.
@nprofile…se08 , a hardcore cybersecurity consultant and the author of Defending Bitcoin: Industrial-Grade Cybersecurity for the Monetary Grid
If we can counter the argument of quantum, what will be the next thing "stopping Bitcoin"?
